The Candidates who are efficiently preparing for the Staff Selection Commission examination of Combined Group Level was officially announced to fill up the vacancies of the Ministries, industries of Central government and various departments of state government. As many thousands of candidates who have already applied and keenly prepared for the examination which was about to held on May 2016. But the examination date was postponed and till more time to make preparation, just grab this chance and work effectively till the examination. Now the New exam date was released officially as August 2016. Candidates can download their Admit card and New exam pattern 2016 from the official website.
Change of Scheduled Dates
As the application from the candidates were about to receive till 24th March 2016 .Because of huge response from the applicants the officials have extended the last date of application till 30th March 2016 and exam date was scheduled at 8th and 22nd May 2016. According to the officials,the examination of the various posts will be now held on the month of August 2016 and exact dates are not yet released. Admit card are also expected to be available from last week of July 2016. Also commission is planning to change the cut-off of sections and qualifying nature of the selection process.
SSC Examination Pattern
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) functions under the central government that conducts recruitment of Group B non-gazette and Group C non-technical vacancies in the country. SSCL CGL is a three tier examination i.e. Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 . Candidates have to be well prepared to qualify each tier of the recruitment process. Tier 1 consist of Multi choice objective type written examination . Those who qualified with the tier 1 examination will attend tier two examination within 15 days from tier 1 examination. Tier 2 examination also contain written examination of objective type Multi choice questions. Those candidates who clear both the written examinations will attend Computer Proficiency test (as per the post) and Document Verification process. For some category Pen and Paper test (descriptive test on English/Hindi) will be patterned as Tier 3 before document verification Process.
Revised Examination Pattern
Under the provisional Notice of the Commission following changes are made with the pattern of the examination.
- Total duration of examination is 75 minutes
- Reducing the Total No of questions from 200 to 100
- Introducing the descriptive test of English/Hindi as Tier III
- Final Merit list is prepared from all three tier mark cumulative.
- Examination conduct in online mode instead of OMR sheet.
- No sectional Cut Off
- Question Paper is bilingual(choose one language from Hindi/English)

Candidates who have applied for the SSC CGL are verified by the commission of Staff selection. Due to various reasons some of the applications are rejected . Hence candidates have to check their application status before download the admit card for the written examination

For the first time, SSC officials have changed the mode of sending admit card to the candidates who are applied for the examination. As the officials always use postal methods to send the admit card. This is the first time officials are about to release the admit card through online process. The admit card download are expected to be available from 27th July 2016. Here are some of the procedures to download the admit card,
- First click on the regional website of SSC to download the admit card as given below,
- On the Home Page from the latest Announcement click Admit card 2016 download.
- A new window will pop up. Please note your application no from the email you get from SSC on the time of registration.
- Enter your Application No and DOB .Now your admit card will be appear on screen after sometime.
- Please download and take the print out of the Admit card.
In, case, you cannot download the admit cards, you should contact the SSC Regional Office and obtain the Admit Card after showing your Application No/ Reference No. , SBI Challan etc.
