Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) is the state government owned organization works according to the rules and regulations of TN Govt. this is the authority responsible for conducting the TET exam. Only those candidates who qualified this exam will be permitted into the teaching jobs in Government schools in Tamil Nadu. This TET exam will be based on various categories such as,
- TNTET Paper I- it is for Lower Primary Teacher ( class I to V)
- TNTET Paper II- it is for Upper Primary teacher (class VI to VIII).
TNTET Eligibility Criteria
To appear for this TN TET exam aspirants are suppose to have certain eligibility criteria. These criteria are discussed below,
Educational Qualification: The expected educational qualification for this TN TET exam is that the aspirants should have completed Senior Secondary Examination or its equivalent qualification from of the recognized board or institutes in India and they should have obtained minimum of 45% mnarks in it. And for upper primary class aspirants should have done B.A or B.Sc or its equivalent with B.Ed are eligible.
Age Limit: Aspirants who are above age of 18 years can take up the exam. And the maximum age will fix by the authority based on norms of government.

- First the aspirants have to log on to the website www.trb.tn.nic.in.
- They have to search for TN TET Application 2016.
- Read the instructions and click on Apply online link.
- The application form will appear.
- Fill the required information that was asked in the application form.
- Attach recent passport size photo, signatures on the size mentioned.
- Upload scanned certificates of all academic qualifications.
- Remit the application fees.
- Finally click on Submit button.
- Application will be sent to the authority.
