- பன்னாட்டு எழுத்தறிவு நாளானது ஒவ்வோர் ஆண்டும் செப்.8 அன்று உலகம் முழுவதும் கொண்டாடப் –படுகிறது. முதலாவது பன்னாட்டு எழுத்தறிவு நாள், கடந்த 1966ஆம் ஆண்டு நடைபெற்ற UNESCO பொதுமாநாட்டின்போது அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது. உலகெங்கிலும் உள்ள தனிநபர்களுக்கும் சமூகங்களுக்கும் எழுத்தறிவின் முக்கியத்துவத்தை எடுத்துக்காட்டுவதை இந்த நாள் நோக்கமாகக்கொண்டுள்ளது. “Literacy teaching and learning in the Covid–19 crisis and beyond” என்பது நடப்பாண்டில் (2020) வரும் இந்த நாளுக்கான கருப்பொருளாகும்.
