India has issued a notice to Pakistan for modification of the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT) of 1960 following Islamabad’s inflexibility on its implementation. The notice was sent through respective commissioners for Indus waters. India and Pakistan signed the treaty in 1960 after nine years of negotiations, with the World Bank Being a signatory of the pact.
