• இந்திய ரிசர்வ் வங்கி சட்டம், 1934இன் பிரிவு 45ZLஇன்படி, நிதிக்கொள்கைக்குழுவின் ஒவ்வொரு கூட்டத்திற்குப் பிறகு பதினான்காவது நாளில், ரிசர்வ் வங்கி, நிதிக்கொள்கை கூட்டத்தின் நிகழ்வுக்குறிப்புகளை வெளியிடுகிறது. சமீபத்தில் வெளியிடப்பட்ட MPC கூட்டத்தின் நிகழ்வுக்குறிப்புகளின்படி, RBI ஆளுநர் சக்திகாந்த தாஸ், மற்ற உறுப்பினர்களுடன் சேர்ந்து ரெப்போ விகிதத்தை 5.40%ஆக 50 அடிப்படைப்புள்ளிகள் உயர்த்த முன்மொழிந்தார்.

• குரங்கு அம்மை நோயைப் பரிசோதிப்பதற்கான இந்தியாவின் முதல் உள்நாட்டிலேயே உருவாக்கப்பட்ட RT–PCR கருவியை டிரான்ஸாசியா பயோ–மெடிக்கல்ஸ் நிறுவனம் உருவாக்கியுள்ளது. இந்தக் கருவியை நடுவண் அரசின் முதன்மை அறிவியல் ஆலோசகர் அஜை குமார் சூட் சமீபத்தில் வெளியிட்டார். WHOஇன் கூற்றுப்படி, குரங்கு அம்மை என்பது விலங்குகளிடமிருந்து மனிதர்களுக்குப்பரவும் ஒரு தீநுண்ம (வைரசு) நோயாகும். இது பெரியம்மைபோன்ற அறிகுறிகளைக் கொண்டுள்ளது.

• இந்திய ரிசர்வ் வங்கி (RBI) தனது 2022 ஆகஸ்ட் இதழில், “பொதுத்துறை வங்கிகளின் தனியார்மயமாக்கல்: ஒரு மாற்றுக்கண்ணோட்டம்” என்ற தலைப்பில் ஒரு கட்டுரையை வெளியிட்டது. அந்தக் கட்டுரையின் ஆசிரியர்களின் கூற்றுப்படி, “Big–bang” அணுகுமுறைக்குப் பதிலாக, அரசாங்கத்தால் அறிவிக்கப்பட்ட படிப்படியான அணுகுமுறை சிறந்த விளைவுகளை ஏற்படுத்தும்.

• இந்திய வான்படை, அதன் நான்கு சுகோய்–30 MKI போர் விமானங்கள் மற்றும் இரண்டு C–17 விமானங்களுடன் ‘பிட்ச் பிளாக்’ பயிற்சியில் இணைந்தது. இது ஆஸ்திரேலியாவில் நடைபெறும் 17 நாடுகள் பங்கேற்கும் விமானப்போர் பயிற்சியாகும்; இதனை இராயல் ஆஸ்திரேலிய வான்படை (RAAF) நடத்துகிறது. ஆஸ்திரேலியா, கனடா, பிரான்ஸ், ஜெர்மனி, இந்தியா, ஜப்பான், ஐக்கிய அரபு அமீரகம், அமெரிக்கா, இங்கிலாந்து உள்ளிட்ட 17 நாடுகளைச் சேர்ந்த 100–க்கும் மேற்பட்ட விமானங்களும், 2,500 விமானப்படை வீரர்களும் இந்தப் பயிற்சியில் பங்கேற்கின்றனர்.

• ஆர்ட்டெமிஸ் III என்பது அமெரிக்க விண்வெளி ஆய்வு நிறுவனமான NASAஇன் நிலவு ஆய்வுத் திட்டமாகும். இந்தத் திட்டத்தின்கீழ், நிலவுக்கு முதன்முறையாக கறுப்பினத்தவரும் பெண்மணியுமான ஒருவரை அனுப்ப NASA திட்டம் வகுத்துள்ளது. இது 2025–இல் செயல்படுத்த திட்டமிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. நிலவின் தென் துருவத்திற்கு அருகாமையில் உள்ள இடங்களில் தரையிறங்குவாதற்கான 13 சாத்தியமான தளங்களை NASA சமீபத்தில் அறிவித்தது. நிலவின் தென் துருவம் மனிதர்களால் ஆராயப்படாத ஒன்று என்பதால் அதன் ஒவ்வொரு தளமும் அறிவியல் ரீதியாக முக்கியத்துவம் வாய்ந்தது எனக் கருதப்படுகிறது.

• கம்போடியாவானது “ASEAN சட்டம்: சவால்களை ஒன்றாக எதிர்கொள்வது” என்ற கருப்பொருளின்கீழ், நடப்பு 2022ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கு ASEAN அமைப்புக்குத் தலைமைதாங்குகிறது. கம்போடியாவின் தலைநகரமான புனோம் பென் நகரத்தில் ASEAN–இந்தியா வெளியுறவு அமைச்சர்களின் வருடாந்திர கூட்டத்திற்குச் சிங்கப்பூர் தலைமை தாங்குகிறது. தென்கிழக்காசிய நாடுகளின் கூட்டமைப்பு (ASEAN) – இந்திய வெளியுறவு அமைச்சர்கள் கூட்டத்தில் இந்திய வெளியுறவுத்துறை அமைச்சர் ஜெய்சங்கர் கலந்துகொண்டார்.

• குஜராத்தின் போர்பந்தரில் உள்ள இந்திய கடற்படையின் வான்படை 314–ஐச் சேர்ந்த ஐந்து பெண் அதிகாரிகள், டோர்னியர் 228 விமானத்தில் வட அரபிக்கடலில் அனைத்து கடல்சார் உளவு மற்றும் கண்காணிப்பு பணியை முடித்து வரலாறு படைத்தனர். மிஷன் கமாண்டர் லெப்டினன்ட் கமாண்டர் ஆஞ்சல் ஷர்மா இந்த விமானத்தின் கேப்டனாக இருந்தார்; அதில் விமானிகள் லெப்டினன்ட் ஷிவாங்கி மற்றும் லெப்டினன்ட் அபூர்வ கீட் மற்றும் அவரது குழுவில் உத்திசார் முக்கியத்துவம் வாய்ந்த அதிகாரிகள் இருந்தனர்.

• According to Section 45ZL of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934, the Reserve Bank publishes the minutes of the proceedings of the meeting on the fourteenth day after every meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee. As per the minutes of the MPC meeting released recently, Governor Shaktikanta Das along with other members proposed a 50 basis points hike in repo rate to 5.40 per cent.

• India’s first indigenously–developed RT–PCR kit for testing monkeypox disease has been developed by Transasia Bio–Medicals. The kit was recently unveiled by Principal Scientific Adviser to the Centre Ajay Kumar Sood. According to WHO, monkeypox is a a virus transmitted to humans from animals, with symptoms similar to smallpox but clinically less severe.

• The Indian Air Force, with its four Sukhoi–30 MKI fighter jets and two C–17 heavy–lift aircraft joined the ‘Pitch Black’ exercise. It is a 17–nation air combat exercise in Australia, being hosted by the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF). Over 100 aircraft and 2,500 air force personnel from 17 countries namely Australia, Canada, France, Germany, India, Japan, , the UAE, the US, the UK among others participate in the exercise.

• Artemis III mission is the crewed Moon landing mission of the US Space agency NASA. Under the mission, NASA has planned to send the first woman and person of colour to the Moon. It is scheduled for launch in 2025. NASA has recently announced 13 potential landing sites for the missions, which are in proximity to the lunar South Pole. Each site is scientifically significant as the lunar South Pole is unexplored by humans and it has some regions rich in resources.

• Five women officers of the Indian Naval Air Squadron 314 based at Porbandar in Gujarat created history by completing the first all–women independent maritime reconnaissance and surveillance mission over the north Arabian Sea onboard a Dornier 228 aircraft. The aircraft was captained by Mission Commander Lt Commander Aanchal Sharma, who had pilots Lt Shivangi and Lt Apurva Gite and tactical and sensor officers in her team.

• South Korea launched its first moon mission recently. Its lunar orbiter ‘Danuri’ was indigenously developed by the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI). The orbiter means “enjoy the moon” successfully separating from the Falcon 9 rocket. It is expected to enter the moon’s orbit in December before starting a yearlong observation mission. If it succeeds, South Korea will become the world’s seventh lunar explorer, and the fourth in Asia.
