• இந்தியாவிலேயே தணிக்கைத் தலைமை இயக்குநர் என்ற பதவியை உருவாக்கிய முதலாவது மாநிலம் தமிழ்நாடு ஆகும். இந்தப் பதவிக்காக இந்தியத் தணிக்கை மற்றும் கணக்கு சேவையிலிருந்து ஓர் அதிகாரியை தமிழ்நாடு அரசு நியமித்துள்ளது. தமிழ்நாட்டில் உள்ளக தணிக்கைத் துறைகளின் செயல்பாட்டை வலுப்படுத்துவதும் நெறிப்படுத்துவதும் இந்தப் புதிய அதிகாரியின் பொறுப்பாகும்.

• வங்காளதேச பாதுகாப்புப் படையினருக்கும் குகி–சின் தேசிய இராணுவத்திற்கும் இடையிலான சண்டையைத் தொடர்ந்து, சின்–குகி இனத்தைச் சேர்ந்த பழங்குடியினர்கள் வங்காளதேசத்தை விட்டு வெளியேறி வருகின்றனர். வங்காளதேசத்திலிருந்து வெளியேறிய 274 வங்கதேச பழங்குடியினருக்கு தற்காலிக தங்குமிடம், உணவு மற்றும் நிவாரணம் வழங்குவதாக மிசோரம் அரசு அறிவித்துள்ளது.

• அழிந்துவரும் வனவிலங்குகள் மற்றும் தாவரங்களின் (CITES) சர்வதேச வர்த்தகம் தொடர்பான கூட்டமைப்பிற்கான கட்சிகளின் மாநாட்டின் (CoP–19) 19ஆவது கூட்டம் பனாமா நகரத்தில் நடைபெற்றது. நன்னீர் ஆமையான, ‘படகுர் கச்சுகா’வை இதில் இணைப்பதற்கான இந்தியாவின் முன்மொழிவு, CITESஇன் CoP–19இல் உள்ள கட்சிகளின் ஆதரவைப்பெற்றது. நன்னீர் ஆமைகளை வேட்டையாடுதல் மற்றும் அதன் சட்டவிரோத வர்த்தகத்தை ஒழிப்பது ஆகிய நோக்கத்திற்காக, ‘ஆபரேஷன் டர்ட்ஷீல்ட்’ என்றவொன்றைத் தொடங்கியது. இது குறித்து CITES இந்தியாவைப் பாராட்டியது.

• NASAஇன் ஓரியன் விண்கலம் ஆர்ட்டெமிஸ்–I திட்டத்தின் ஒருபகுதியாக தனது முதல் நிலவு இலக்கு அணுகலை வெற்றிகரமாகச் செய்துள்ளது. இது நிலவின் மேற்பரப்பிலிருந்து 130 கிமீட்டர் தொலைவில் கடந்துள்ளது. ஓரியன் நிலவுக்கு அப்பால் சுமார் 57,287 மைல்கள் தொலைவில் பயணம் செய்து அப்பல்லோ–13இன் சாதனையை விஞ்சும். ஓரியன் விண்கலமானது நிலவுக்கு அப்பால் உள்ள தொலைதூர பிற்போக்குச் சுற்றுப்பாதையில் நுழையும்.

• ஐரோப்பிய நாடாளுமன்றமானது ரஷ்யாவை பயங்கரவாதத்தின் அரச ஆதரவாளராக அறிவித்துள்ளது. எரிசக்தி உட் கட்டமைப்பு, மருத்துவமனைகள், பள்ளிகள் மற்றும் தங்குமிடங்கள்போன்ற உக்ரேனிய இலக்குகள் மீதான அதன் இராணுவத் தாக்குதல்கள் சர்வதேச சட்டத்தை மீறுவதாக வாதிடுகிறது. ஐரோப்பிய ஒன்றியம் இதற்கான ஒரு சட்ட ரீதியான கட்டமைப்பைக் கொண்டிருக்கவில்லை என்றாலும், உக்ரைன் மீதான ரஷ்யாவின் ஆக்கிரமிப்பு தொடர்பாக ரஷ்யா மீது முன்னெப்போதும் இல்லாத பொருளாதாரத் தடைகளை அது ஏற்கனவே விதித்துள்ளது.

• உலகின் முதல் வேத கடிகாரத்தின் கட்டுமானப் பணிக்கான அடிக்கல், மத்திய பிரதேச மாநிலத்தின் உஜ்ஜைனி நகரத்தில் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஜந்தர் மந்தர் அரசு ஜிவாஜி ஆய்வகத்தில் `1.62 கோடி செலவில் ‘வேத கடிகாரம்’ நிறுவப்படும். இந்தக் கடிகாரம் வேதகால கணக்கீட்டுக் கொள்கைகளின் அடிப்படையில் நிர்ணயிக்கப்படும். வேத கடிகாரத்தின் பயன்பாடு சந்திரனின் நிலை, பண்டிகை, மங்கள நேரம், பிறந்தநாள், விரதம், பண்டிகை முக்கிய விடுமுறை நாட்களில் பயன்படுத்தப்படும்.

• ரைசிங் சன் வாட்டர் ஃபெஸ்ட்–2022 ஆனது மேகாலயா மாநிலத்தில் உமியாம் ஏரியில் நடைபெற்றது. மூன்று நாள் நடைபெற்ற இந்த நீர் விளையாட்டு மற்றும் கலாச்சார கண்காட்சி வடகிழக்கு மாநிலங்களில் நடைபெறுவது இதுவே முதன்முறையாகும். வடகிழக்கு மாநிலங்களைச் சார்ந்த இளையோர் படகோட்டம்போன்ற நீர் விளையாட்டுகளில் ஈடுபட ஊக்குவிப்பதே இதன் நோக்கமாகும். இது வடகிழக்கில் சுற்றுலாவை மேம்படுத்துவதையும் நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது. இது அஸ்ஸாம் மற்றும் மேகாலயா மாநில அரசாங்கங்களுடன் இணைந்த இந்திய இராணுவத்தின் கிழக்குப் படையின் முனைவாகும்.

• நாட்டின் முதல் வாக்காளரான 106 வயதான மாஸ்டர் ஷியாம் சரண் நேகி அண்மையில் காலமானார். அவர் ஹிமாச்சல பிரதேசத்தின் கின்னௌர் மாவட்டத்தில் வசித்தார். அவரது இறுதிச்சடங்குகளை மாவட்ட நிர்வாகம் முழு மரியாதையுடன் மேற்கொண்டது. நேகி, ஹிமாச்சல பிரதேச சட்டமன்றத் தேர்தலுக்காக தபால் வாக்குமூலம் மூன்று நாட்களுக்கு முன்னர்தான் வாக்களித்திருந்தார் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

• உலக கதிரியக்க வரைவியல் நாளானது ஒவ்வோர் ஆண்டும் நவ.08 அன்று, X–கதிர் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டதை நினைவைக் குறிக்கிறது. கடினமாக உழைக்கும் கதிரியக்க வரைவியலாளர்கள் / கதிரியக்க நிபுணர்களையும் இந்நாள் கொண்டாடுகிறது. ஜெர்மனி பேராசிரியர் வில்ஹெம் இரான்ட்ஜென் என்பவரால் கடந்த 1895ஆம் ஆண்டில் X–கதிர் தற்செயலாக கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டது.

• ஐக்கிய நாடுகளின் பொதுச்சபையானது நவ.18ஆம் தேதியை “சிறார் பாலியல், வன்கொடுமை / வன்முறையைத் தடுப்பதற்கும் குணப்படுத்துவதற்குமான உலக நாள் – World Day for the Prevention of and Healing from Child Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Violence” என அறிவித்துள்ளது. சிறார் பாலியல் வன்கொடுமையின் பாதிப்புகளை உலகளாவியப் பார்வையைக் கொண்டுவருவதை இந்த நாள் தனது நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது.

• Tamil Nadu is the first State to create the role of Director General of Audit in India. The state has appointed an officer from the Indian Audit and Accounts Service on deputation, for this role. The officer’s responsibility will be to strengthen and streamline the functioning of internal audit departments in the state.

• Following the fights between Bangladeshi security forces and the Kuki–Chin National Army (KNA), tribals of Chin–Kuki ethnic community are fleeing Bangladesh. Mizoram government announced to provide temporary shelter, food and relief to as many as 274 Bangladeshi tribal nationals who fleed Bangladesh.

• The 19^th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties (CoP 19) to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) is being held at Panama City. India’s proposal for induction of fresh water turtle ‘Batagur kachuga’ earned support of the parties in CoP 19 of CITES. CITES also lauded the result achieved by the country in operations initiated by the Wildlife Crime Control Bureau namely Operation Turtshield, to eliminate poaching and illegal trade of fresh water turtles.

• NASA’s Orion spacecraft has successfully performed its first Moon flyby as part of the uncrewed Artemis I mission. It has passed within 130 kilometres of the lunar surface. Orion will travel about 57,287 miles beyond the Moon at its farthest point from the Moon, passing the record set by Apollo 13. Orion will enter a distant retrograde orbit beyond the Moon.

• The European Parliament has designated Russia a state sponsor of terrorism. It has argued that its military strikes on Ukrainian civilian targets such as energy infrastructure, hospitals, schools and shelters violated international law. Though the European Union does not have a legal framework in place to back it up, the bloc has already imposed unprecedented sanctions on Russia over its invasion of Ukraine.

• The foundation stone of the construction work of the World’s First Vedic Clock has been done in the city of Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. The ‘Vedic Clock’ will be constructed at Jantar Mantar Government Jiwaji Observatory at a cost of Rs 1.62 cr. This clock will be fixed on the basis of the principles of Vedic time calculation. The application of the Vedic Clock will be used for moon position, festival, auspicious time, birth anniversary, fast, festival major holidays among others.

• The Rising Sun Water Fest–2022 was held in the state of Meghalaya at Umiam Lake. The three day water sports and cultural fair was a first of its kind in the North East. It is aimed at encouraging the youth of North East to take up water sports like Rowing and Sailing. It also aimed at promoting tourism in the North East. It was an initiative by the Indian Army’s Eastern Command with the governments of Assam and Meghalaya.

• The country’s first voter 106–year–old Master Shyam Saran Negi passed away, after a prolonged illness. He was a resident of Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. His last rites were performed with full honours by the district administration. Mr. Negi had cast his vote for the Himachal Pradesh assembly elections through postal ballot three days ago through postal ballot.

• World Radiography Day is celebrated every year on November 8, marking the anniversary of the discovery of X–rays. The day also celebrates the hard–working radiographers and radiologists. X–rays were discovered accidentally by Professor Wilhelm Röntgen of Germany in 1895.

• The UN General Assembly has adopted a resolution to designate November 18 every year as the World Day for the prevention of and healing from child sexual exploitation, abuse and violence. It encourages commitments to raise awareness of those affected by child sexual abuse and the need to prevent child sexual exploitation, abuse and violence.
