• இந்தோனேசியாவின் ஜாவா தீவில் உள்ள செமேரு எரிமலை வெடிக்கத் தொடங்கியது. இந்த வெடிப்பினால் ஏற்பட்ட எரிமலை சாம்பலைத் தொடர்ந்து கிழக்கு ஜாவா மாகாணத்திலிருந்த ஈராயிரத்துக்கும் மேற்பட்டோர் அங்கிருந்து வெளியேற்றப்பட்டனர். இந்தோனேசியா பேரிடர் மேலாண்மை நிறுவனத்தின்படி, இதுவரை இதன் காரணமாக எந்தவொரு நபரும் பலியாகவில்லை. இந்தோனேசிய தலைநகரம் ஜகார்த்தாவில் இருந்து தென்கிழக்கே 640 கிலோமீட்டர் தொலைவில் செமேரு எரிமலை அமைந்துள்ளது.
