About Aavin

The Dairy Development Department was established in Tamil Nadu in the year 1958 to oversee and regulate milk production and commercial distribution in the state. The Dairy Development Department took over control of the milk cooperatives. It was replaced by the Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producers Federation Limited in the year 1981.

On February 1, 1981, the commercial activities of the cooperative were handed over to Tamil Nadu Co-operative Milk Producers’ Federation Limited which sold milk and milk products under the trademark “aavin”. Tamil Nadu is one of the leading states in India in milk production with about 14.5 million liters per day.

Eligibility

Dairy Chemist: It is otherwise called as Deputy manager. The applying candidates must possess Post graduate degree with diary science or diary chemistry or chemistry or Bio-Chemistry or Bio-Tech or Quality control with total vacancies of one.

Extension Officer Grade II: The candidates must be a graduate in any discipline and also must pass in Cooperative training. Exemption for holders of degree in B.A or B.Com from passing Cooperative Training.

Heavy Vehicle Driver: The candidates must pass VIII std or its equivalent and also must possess valid driving license for heavy vehicle. The common knowledge in Tamil is must. Atleast should studied Tamil as subject in SSLC as minimum level.

Technician: Pass in SSLC with ITI certification in the trade of all technician streams. The age criteria should be minimum of 18 yrs and maximum of 35yrs for all posts should be calculated as on 01.07.2016. The Retirement age for all posts is 58 years.Check other communal rotation at their official link.

Pay Scale

The pay scale for all posts as follows,

Rs.9300 to 34800 plus grade pay of Rs.4400 for Dairy Chemist, Rs.5200 to 20200 plus grade pay of Rs. 2400 for Extension officer grade I, Rs. 5200 to 20200 plus grade pay of Rs. 2400 for Heavy Vehicle Driver and Rs. 5200 to 20200 plus grade pay of Rs. 2400 for Technician posts.

General points

• The selection will be conducted based on interview. The total marks is 100, whereas 90 marks for academic qualification and 10 marks for Personal Interview.

• Separate application should be sent for each post.

• Job Location will be around Salem and Namakkal districts.

• This recruitment will be Offline mode, whereas the application should be filled and sent through Registered Post or Speed Post.
