About APPSC
The A.P. Public Service Commission came in to existence on 1st November, 1956 with the formation of the State of Andhra Pradesh. Before this, there was Andhra Public Service Commission in the Andhra State and Hyderabad Public Service Commission in the Hyderabad State. Andhra Service Commission came in to existence only in 1953 after the bifurcation of composite Madras State into Andhra and Madras States.
On the event of formation of Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission, Andhra Public Service Commission was functioning with a Chairman and two Members and Hyderabad Public Service Commission was functioning with one Member. Hence, A.P. Public Service Commission was constituted with a Chairman and 3 Members. With increasing work load, Government enhanced the Members as five in the year 1981 and later to Chairman and 7 Members in the year 1983. Government again reviewed the strength in 1994 and enhanced it to Chairman and 9 Members. This is the present strength. The AP Health department of APPSC usually recruit Medical Professionals to take care of people of AP and to make the city physically strong too.
APPSC Vacancies
There are totally 10 numbers of posts available in Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Department is 734 Vacancies, whereas Hostel welfare officer grade III – 100 Posts, Assistant BC welfare officer – 10 Posts, Teachers – 235 Posts, Assistant social welfare officer – 9 Posts, Assistant tribal welfare officer – 6 Posts, Fisheries dept – 10 Posts, Fisheries development officer – 4 Posts, Veterinary assistant surgeon – 300 Posts, Agricultural officer -30 Posts, and Assistant accountant officer- 30 Posts.
APPSC Eligibility
The AP Social welfare department has more number of vacancies, thus candidates are asked to check the eligibility criteria like educational qualification, age and other skills, etc. The Educational qualification for various post must possess 10th or 12th or degree completed from recognised school or university or institution. The age is also important criteria under eligibility, the aspirants must attain minimum of 18 years and maximum of 35 years as on last date of receipt of application. Age relaxation will also be as per government rules in category wise. The pay scale will be given for qualified candidate who goes under succession of all selection process. APPSC Selection Process
The Selection Process consists of 2 levels. That is Written Examination and Personal Interview. The written examination will be of 100 Marks. The question paper is based on Objective type MCQ. Each question carries 1 mark. There are three sections such as Maths section carries 35 marks, General Knowledge carries 30 Marks and English section carries 35 marks. Thus candidates must put their maximum effort for cracking this exam.
