Before Applying For The Course : MS in Germany

In the last article we saw about selecting courses that suits you. So, what next??

You might think that applying the course must be the next step. Well. That’s wrong. Yes. You have to do so many things before applying for any course. Don’t get afraid. We are here to help you out.

Wondering what is that important step before applying? Okay. There are some procedures and formalities you must know and be aware of the details in order to apply properly. Knowing the deadline for the course and applying as early as possible is a key point. Please read the following points to make sure you apply correct.

Must to have:

For applying a course abroad you need a valid passport with at least 2 years left to expire. This is the identity proof you will be asked to produce in all the process. For example, GRE, IELTS/TOFEL, German language exams and in application process are some of them that requires passport for a candidate.

Passport:

Don’t think much about the above mentioned processes and exams now because the preliminary documents are like hall ticket to enter them. So apply for a passport now if you do not have one. Passport Seva Kendra is one of the attentive and fastest services provided in India. You will get your passport in 15 days if your data provided are all correct and as per documents.

And fall pry of consultancies and agents for applying a passport. You can do it online with the actual fee of INR. 1500/- (Check the official website of Passport Seva Kendra for current fee details). The agents may ask you up to INR. 5000/- which is surely a loss for you.

Visit the following link for Passport Seva Kendra official site. You will find more details about passport application, procedure and required documents.

Mark sheets and Degree certificate:

The next most important and common document you must possess is your semester mark sheets and degree certificate. This means that you must have completed the degree at the time of application. However this requirement varies from university to university. Some universities allow students before the completion of their under graduate degree but they should have completed at least 7 semesters (students in the final semester). So, you can attend your Masters’ course in the next semester.

Extra-curricular activities:

Your application will not be verified and shortlisted based on your marks alone. There are students who have got admission even with 50+% scores in the final degree. I know the next question you will ask is, “How is that possible?”

This is possible because the applications are evaluated based on the overall profile of a student. So if a student has patent rights, Own projects and scientific papers, Intern experience or professional experience in their field they apply for a course, it gives their profile weightage and balances the profile. But keep in mind that you have to be exceptionally good in terms of practical knowledge if your scores are low and you need to secure an admission with that.

Printers:

This is not mandatory but we advise you to get a printer. Because you will need to print a lot from application till you fly for your studies. Instead of paying someone Rs. 10 per page you can get a small size printer and save money. Trust me you will need to take hundreds of prints. And again it is up to you to print in a shop (if you get a cheaper rate) or buy a printer. You can sell the printer later once your requirement is over.
