BSF Recruitment for ASI /HO 2016
BSF is otherwise called as Border Security force, who works on border of the country to save the border from the other bodies who wish to enter illegally. As the BSI has various category to work .Every year it releases notification to select eligible candidates to empower its man source. BSF was established in Dec 1965 and it is one of five armed forces. As per the recent notification , BSF needs the eligible candidates to get filled in 622 Vacancies of various post like Assistant Sub Inspector and Head Constable. The recruitment Pattern is on proper selection basis. It consist of two Phases of examination. Candidates have to attend and get selected in all the phase sections to get selected for the above post.
Phase of Selection for ASI/HO 2016
To be a part of the final selected list, one have to go through the phases of selection process. Phase 1 as Written examination an descriptive test. Phase 2 the selection test will be conducted as Physical Measurement Test, Physical Efficiency test, Document Verification and Medical Examination.
Phase 1: Written examination for 200 Marks of objective type question with two marks for right answers and 0.50 negative marks for wrong answers. Candidates who got selected in the written examination have to attend the descriptive test. Total duration of OMR type screening written examination is of 2 hours. It contain the syllabus from Physics (60 Marks), Mathematics(60 Marks), Chemistry (30 Marks) and English language & General knowledge (50 Marks).
Descriptive examination is the examination that every candidates have to write for 200 Marks For Assistant Sub Inspector will only attend the descriptive test (200 Marks) with the syllabus of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Electronics and for the Head Constable they will attend the descriptive test along with the dictation test(100+100 ) in their descriptive examination with the syllabus of Physics, Chemistry and English. The candidates who got selected in the phase 1 will undergo phase 2 selection.
Note: For Both post descriptive test is mandatory and every omission or mistake 5 marks will be reduced for the diction test and 2.5 Marks for the descriptive test.
Phase 2: Physical Measurement test will be conducted for the selected candidates from the phase 1 using biometric measurement devices. The candidates with the basic required measurement will get selected in means of height, weight and chest measurement. Physical Efficiency test will be conducted by means of race of 1.6 kms within 6.5 minutes ,long Jump 3.65 Meter within three chances and High jump 1.2 Meters within three chances as per the selection committee within the time period. The document verification and the medical examination will be only conducted to the selected candidates of physique test.

Cut Off of ASI/HO 2016
The basic Cut Off marks for the Assistant Sub Inspector and Head Constable selection is officially announced by the BSF committee. The Candidates under general Category should secure 35 percent of marks in written examination and 38 percent for the dictation/descriptive test. For SC/ST category candidates have to secure 33 Percent for both the examination. The exact Cut Off will determine based on the examination which are scheduled. For the complete proper preparation of the examination, each candidates have to go through the examination syllabus as provided above and then have to check for the resources to prepare on the syllabus.
