Eligibility Criteria: Before applying for the BSF Recruitment 2023 for Head Constable (Radio Operator) and Head Constable (Radio Mechanic) Posts, candidates must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria as mentioned in the official notification. The eligibility criteria for the BSF Recruitment 2023 are as follows:

Age Limit : (As on 12.05.2023)

• (a) UR Not below 18 years or over 25 years
• (b) OBC Not below 18 years or over 28 years
• (c) SC/ST Not below 18 years or over 30 years
• Candidates Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per Govt. Rules.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board or Institution with two years Industrial Training Institute Certificate (ITI) in the relevant trade.

Head Constable (Radio Operator) – Pass in Intermediate or 12th standard or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized Board or University or Institution as a regular student with aggregate 60% marks in Physics Chemistry Math subjects. Or

Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board and two years Industrial Training Institute Certificate (ITI) in Radio and Television or Electronics Engineering or Computer Operator and Programming Assistant or Data Preparation and Computer Software or General Electronics Engineering or Data Entry Operator from a recognized Institute.

Head Constable (Radio Mechanic) –  Pass in Intermediate or 12th standard or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized Board or University or Institution as a regular student with aggregate 60% marks in Physics Chemistry Math subjects.

Or Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board or Institute and two years Industrial Training Institution Certificate (ITI) in Radio and Television or General Electronics or Computer Operator and Programming Assistant or Data Preparation and Computer Software or Electrician or Fitter or Information Technology and Electronics System Maintenance or Comn Equipment Maintenance or Computer Hardware or Network Technician or Mechatronics or Data Entry Operator from a recognized Institute.

Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens.

Salary: Selected candidates will be paid as per the pay scale of Level 4 in the Pay Matrix (Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100) as per 7th CPC. Along with the basic pay, they will also be entitled to various allowances as per the rules of the BSF.

Selection Process: The selection process for BSF Recruitment 2023 for Head Constable (Radio Operator) and Head Constable (Radio Mechanic) Posts will consist of the following stages:

Written Examination: Candidates will have to appear for a written examination which will be conducted in two phases – OMR Based Screening Test and Descriptive Test. The questions in the exam will be of objective type and will cover subjects like Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, English, and General Knowledge.

Physical Standard Test (PST): Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for the PST, where their physical standards such as height, weight, and chest measurements will be checked.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates who pass the PST will have to undergo a PET which will include events like Race, Long Jump, and High Jump to test their physical fitness.

Documentation: Candidates who clear the PET will be required to produce original documents for verification such as educational certificates, age proof, caste certificate (if applicable), etc.

Final Medical Examination: Candidates who are found medically fit in the documentation process will undergo a final medical examination to ensure their fitness for the job.

Merit List: The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the written examination and the performance in the PET, documentation, and medical examination.

Application Fee: Each male aspirant belonging to General (UR)/EWS and OBC categories for the post of HC(RO) & HC(RM) will have to pay examination fee @ 100/- only for each post through SB1 Online Payment Gateway by using following modes: –

• Internet Banking (INS)

• Credit/Debit cards.

• UPI

• Wallet

No Examination fee is required to be paid by the candidates belonging to exempted categories/female candidates (i.e candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, BSF Candidates, Ex-Servicemen and Compassionate Appointment). However, t 40/- plus taxes = 47.2/- will be charged from every candidate as “Service Charge” by the CSC (Common Service Centre).

The online application process will be available on the official website of BSF at www.rectt.bsf.gov.in from 22.04.2023 to 21.05.2023. Candidates need to fill in all the required details in the online application form, upload scanned copies of their photograph and signature, and pay the application fee (if applicable) as per the instructions given in the notification. After submitting the online application, candidates are advised to take a printout of the application form for future reference.
