A forensic scientist also helps police in the collection of right evidence material from scene of crime, during the course of investigation. The Forensic scientists thus form indispensable scientific advisors to the investigation team. Their professionalism ensures that the independence and integrity of findings are in no way compromised by actual involvement in the process.The directorate analyses varied crime cases under different laws like I.P.C., Cr.P.C, Indian Arms Act, NDPS Act, Explosive Substances Act, Petroleum Act, Mumbai Police Act, Essential Commodities Act, Bombay Prohibition Act, Motor Vehicle Act, I.T.Act, Wild Life Protection Act, TADA, MCOCA etc and provides scientific analytical reports.

Eligibility
For Chemical Analyst Assistant, the educational qualification must be PG degree in Chemistry/ Biochemistry or equivalent, for Scientific Assistant the candidates must have Graduate in Chemistry or Equivalent and For Lab Attendant: 12th passed with Science subject and Laboratory course. 3 years of experience is compulsory. Candidates who are going to Apply for these DFSL Scientific Assistant Vacancies their age limit 18 to 30 years. Relaxation in age will be decided as per norms.
Recruitment
The recruitment process consists of only one round is Personal Interview. The selected candidates will be paid with attractive package of Rs.40,000 per month and other allowances will be as per norms. There is no application fee for any candidates. But they need to pay the exam fee if applicable.
