Scientist B Vacancy Details
As per the advertisement no 120 , total vacancy is released as 233, department wise requirement varies from the total. Hence the total vacancies are provided department wise as , Electronics and Communication Engineering -72 posts, Mechanical Engineering-48 posts, Computer Science and Engineering-47 posts, Physics-08 posts and Aeronautical Engineering -07 posts
Educational Criteria
Candidates who have completed First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Electronics & Communication Engineering /Mechanical Engineering /Computer Science & Engineering /Aeronautical Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent OR First Class Master’s Degree in Physics from a recognized University or equivalent. Candidates should be in the nationality of Indian.
Age Limit
Candidates should be in the age limit maximum of 28 years for General category , 33 years for ST/SC category and 31 years for OBC Non Creamy category and 38 years for the PWD Candidates. 5 years relaxation for serving central civilian government employees.
Application Fees
To apply for this job notification, candidates have to pay the application fees of Rs 100 only through online mode. No application fees applicable for the SC/ST/PWD/Women Candidates.
Pay Scale
DRDO has officially announced the pay scale of 15,600-39,100 with the grade pay of 5400 rupees.
Selection Process
Officials had notified that there will be two stage of recruitment process for the selection. Candidates will be selected based on the Personal Interview. Personal interview will be held on Bangalore/Delhi/Hyderabad/Pune or any other places decided by RAC/DRDO.
Screening Process
The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of Valid Gate score in the ratio of 1:5 subjects to their availability in the order of discipline wise.
Weight age of Marks
Merit list for the shortlisted candidates will be based on the discipline wise merit of aggregate of 80 % to GATE score and 20 % to Personal Interview.
Training
All the selected Scientist B for DRDO may be required to initially undergo Post Induction Training
Liability To Serve
As per the central government rule, Selected candidates will have the liability to serve anywhere in India including remote/field area location.
