In that way, we provided the GESCOM profile details as follows, In the year 1999, Karnataka embarked on a major reform of the power sector. As a first step, Karnataka Electricity Board (KEB) was dissolved and in its place, the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) was incorporated. This was followed by the constitution of Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) in November 1999.
In the next phase of the reform process, the transmission and distribution business managed by KPTCL was unbundled in June 2002. Four new distribution companies were formed to distribute power in Karnataka. Gulbarga Electricity Supply Company Limited (GESCOM) has taken over the responsibility from KPTCL for the distribution of electricity in 5 districts and commenced its operations from 1st June 2002. The company has successfully entered into 11th year of operation. Earlier, the online application started on 11th April 2016, the interested candidates started their enrollment quickly to get their dream job. Vacancies details
The candidates got attracted to this recruitment because of large number of vacancies provided by the authority of GESCOM. The total vacancies is 1840, thus 1300 vacancies allotted for Junior Lineman and 540 vacancies allotted for Junior station Operator. Now let’s see whether you are applicable or not.
Check Eligibility
The qualification for Junior Lineman needs minimum academics from recognised board of 10th is enough and for Junior station Operator, the candidates must possess ITI from government recognised board in Electrical streams. Coming to age limits, the candidates who belong to General category must attain 18 to 35 years, for SC or ST candidates it is 18 to 40 years and for II A,II B, III A,III B candidates, they must attain 18 to 38 years.
Method of selection
The Selection process will be based on written exam and endurance test. The candidates who are shortlisted in written exam, will be called for next round. If the candidates have applied for JSO will have to take Trade test. The Qualified candidates will be paid with good package of Rs. 7350 to Rs.15, 710 for Junior Lineman and Rs.7950 to Rs.16790 for Jr. Station Operator post.
Application Fee
The Candidates belong to General category must pay Rs.200 and others should pay Rs.100 for Junior Lineman. In case of JSO, the unreserved candidates should pay Rs.400 and reserved category must pay Rs.200. It is good to pay the application fee before last date i.e 15th July 2016 to avoid rush or from traffic during applying online.

Fill all the mandatory fields which is required and also enter all data which are asked from your certificate and documents like certificate no, date of issue etc. Once finished filling means, upload the photo and signature in prescribed format. Then you will be forwarded to payment gateway for making payments as per notification. Now you can submit your application form, thus it will generate the application number.
