The age limit for the candidates who are willing to apply to these posts of various cadre are to meet the age limit as follows set by the board:-

• Maximum age limit : 25 years

The board of Indian Air force has set an eligibility criteria to apply for various positions of recruitment as follows for respective post:
• Senior Computer Operator :
A graduate in mathematics or statistics with 1 year experience in electronic data processing.
• Supdt ( store ):
Graduate in any concern from a recognised university
• Stenographer Grade II :
12th standard pass or equivalent , skill test will be made for the candidates.
• Lower division clerk :
12th standard pass, typing test will be held for candidates
• Hindi typist :
12th standard pass , typing test in Hindi will be held.
• Store keeper :
12th standard pass with experience in store handling.
• Civilian mechanical transport driver :
A matriculation pass with two year experience in driving motor vehicles .
• Cook :
Matriculation pass or diploma in catering
• Carpenter :
10th pass or ITI trade in carpenter
• Painter :
10th pass or ITI trade in painter
• Ayah:
Matriculation pass with 1 year experience aa Ayah in nursing homes or hospital.
• House keeping staff & house keeping staff ( HKS):
Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board.
• Laundry Man:
Matriculation pass with 1 year experience as dhobi in any organization.
• Mess staff:
Matriculation pass with 1 year experience as waiter or washer up in any concern.
• Multitasking staff :
Matriculation pass with 1 year experience as watchman or gardener.
• Vulcaniser :
Matriculation pass or Ex service man.
• Tailor :
10th standard pass with ITI trade in tailoring.
• Tinsmith :
10th standard pass with ITI in the appropriate trade.
• Copper Smith and sheet metal worker :
10th standard pass with ITI in copper Smith and sheet metal worker with one year experience.
• Fitter mechanical transport :
10th standard pass with ITI in trade of fitter mechanical transport.
• Tradesman Mate :
Matriculation pass or equivalent .
• Leather worker :
10th standard pass with ITI trade in leather goods maker.
• Turner :
10th standard pass with ITI trade in Turner.
• Wireless Operator mechanic HSW :
ITI trade in wireless operator mechanic with two years experience.
• Fireman & fire engine driver :

There comes the recruitment procedure on how the candidates will be shortlisted into positions. Indian Air force follows a certain pattern including two stages as given below :-
• Written test
• Skilled test / Physical test & practical test
