The police department of Kolkata, West Bengal has recently announced official notification for the post of Constable of 1167 Vacancies. Kolkata Police Recruitment
Kolkata Police Recruitment Board announced the PET /PMT examination for selecting the eligible candidates for the post of Constables for the 159 year servicing Kolkata police department. As thousands of candidates who have already applied will call for the eligibility examination is about to conduct soon. As every candidates have to keep their admit card with them. The recruitment process will be conducted by the selection committee of KPRB. The decision made by the KPRB is final and recruitment board will accept the decision on this recruitment process. There are seven stage of selection process in this recruitment.
Physical Measurement Test, Physical Efficiency test, Written interview, Interview, Medical Examination, Verification of Character & Antecedents . After these training program will be undergo by the selected candidates to fulfil the selection process. The candidates have to pass the physical test in basis of measurement and efficiency after that only candidates are allowed to the written examination . Candidates have to get selected in all the rounds to get selected for the above post.

Candidates have to face the physical efficiency test and physical standard test. Every candidates have to eligible of the standard measurement provided by KPRB. Then the candidates have to participate in the event and to complete the event within the time limit.
Physical Measurement test
will be conducted using digital measurement device in which candidates identity is registered using Webcam and Biometric devices. Height and weight measurement is taken first and only qualified candidates of this measurement will go for chest measurement.
Physical Efficiency test
will be conducted in basis of the event .For the post of constables For the post of Constable:- 1600 metres Run to be completed within 06 minutes and 30 seconds and For the post of Lady Constable:- 400 metres Run to be completed within 02 minutes.
Written examination will conduct for 90 marks of One hour duration in OMR sheet which contain syllabus of Aptitude, Mathematics, General Knowledge, Current affairs, General English. Negative mark of 0.25 will be deduced for the wrong answers.
Medical Examination will be undergone by the provisionally selected candidates for their fitness measurement undergone by the government hospital of West Bengal marked by KPRB
The cut off marks for the recruitment process is of 35 % for the General Candidates and 33 % for the reserved candidates.
The Interview will be conduct for 10 marks and final merit list is based on Written examination and the interview cumulative marks as the physical test is only for the selection criteria will not be added in the final merit list marks.
Selected candidates of all categories will only undergo the training process. If one discontinue after the acceptance of training for some period then he have to pay the training cost as per the government rules.

Logon to the official website www.kprb.kolkatapolice.gov.in
From the official website check the right side flow down list. On that select the admit card download for constable recruitment link
Click that link and wait for few moments, which lead to a new window to Enter your registration details, date of birth, fathers name and the captcha image. After filled up the all the field data then click on the Submit button to generate Kolkata Police Admit card.
Now Download & take a print out copy for examination purposes.
Candidates don’t forget to carry a ID proof along with the admit card for the recruitment process. Without the admit card no candidates will allow for the examination.
