The National institute of epidemiology ( NIE) is recruiting candidates for the positions of consultant , project Scientist and Scientists posts. Age Limit:
• Consultant – 70 years
• Scientist B – 40 years
• Project Scientist B – 35 years
Educational qualification:
1.Consultant:
MBBS degree OR First – class Master’s degree in social sciences with relevant R&D experience and published papers.
Desirable Qualification and Experience:
• 10 Years of R&D experience in public health.
• Experience in handling national level project.
• Technical Writings.
2.Scientist – B (Non-Medical) :
• First Class Master’s degree in Computer Application/Computer Scientist/IT with 2 years’ experience in the area listed below.( OR )
• Second Class Master’s degree with Ph.D. in Computer Application/Computer Science/IT. (OR )
• BE/B.Tech degree in Computer Application/Computer Science/IT with 2 years’ experience in the area listed below.
Desirable Qualification and Experience:
• Handling large volume of dataset.
• Experience in developing research database using data collection tool such as ODK, Redcap.
• Scripting Language: PHP
• Programming Language: JAVA.
• Database: SQL
3. Scientist – B (Non – Medical) :
1 st class Master’s degree in Public Health or Life Sciences or Social Sciences/BSMS/BHMS/BAMS from a recognized University with two years’ experience in Public Health. (OR) 2 nd class Master’s Degree with Ph.D. in Public Health or Life sciences or Social Sciences from a recognized university.
Desirable Qualification and Experience:
1) PhD in Public health/ Life Science/ Social Sciences.
2) Should have studied Kannada as a language up to 10th grade.
3) Knowledge of computer operations hosting and participating in online conferencing.
4) Experience in working with State Health officials (PHC doctors, ASHAs, Anganwadi Workers, etc.
5) Experience in use of IT resources.
Salary:
• Consultant – Rs.70,000/-
• Scientist B – Rs.48,000/-
• Project Scientist B – Rs.48,000/-
