Educational qualification :
1.Project Technical Support IV (Research Assistant) :
• Graduate degree in Science from a recognized university with 3 years’ work experience in the relevant subjects from a recognized institution Or Master’s degree in Science from a recognized university.
• M.Sc. in Life Science/Biotechnology/Medical Entomology/Public Health Entomology with field experience in vector surveillance and/or laboratory works pertaining to vector biological studies.
Desirable Qualification:
• Willingness to work in field in remote areas as well as in laboratory.
• Knowledge of Computer applications/tablet data recording.
• Knowledge of English with scientific communication skills in addition to Tamil.
• To undertake extensive field surveillance of malaria vectors (immature & adult) in 4 endemic districts (Chennai, Ramanathapuram, Dharmapuri and Kanyakumari) in Tamil Nadu .
Nature of Duties :
• To inspect all the malaria vector breeding habitats for breeding in all the four districts.
• To undertake adult vector collections (resting, light trap, pyrethrum spray sheet).
• To assist in laboratory work including Membrane feeding bioassay, blood meal analysis, vector incrimination and insecticide susceptibility tests, DNA extraction and PCR.
• Data cleaning, data analysis and assisting in report writing.
• Any other project related work assigned by PI/Director
2. Senior Project Research Fellow (SRF) :
• Master’s Degree in Life Science/Biotechnology from a recognized university with 2 years of research experience in Malaria or/other vector borne diseases.
• Adequate experience in field surveys (immature and adult) of mosquito vectors.
Desirable Qualification:
• Research experience (Hands -on) in laboratory techniques such as Membrane Feeding Bioassay, CSELISA, Molecular detection of malaria parasites in vector mosquitoes, Counter current immunoelectrophoresis etc.
• Peer reviewed publications in mosquito vectors and malaria.
• Fluency in English and experience in writing scientific manuscripts.
• To organize extensive field surveillance of malaria vectors (immature and adult) in 4 endemic districts (Chennai, Ramanathapuram, Kanyakumari and Dharmapuri) in Tamil Nadu.
Nature of Duties:

• To organize the adult collections (resting, light trap, pyrethrum spray sheet) plan logistics and liaise with the local health staff
• To undertake laboratory works including Membrane feeding assay, blood meal analysis, vector incrimination, insecticide susceptibility tests, Molecular analysis etc.
• Data analysis and report writing.
• Any other project related work assigned by PI/Director.
3. Project Administrative Support-III (Project Assistant) :
• Master’s degree in science from a recognized university. Graduate in science from a recognized university with three years relevant work experience from a recognized institution.
OR
• M.Sc. in Life Science/ Biotechnology/Medical Entomology / Public Health Entomology with field experience in vector surveillance and/or laboratory works pertaining to vector biological studies.
Desirable Qualification:
• Knowledge of Computer applications/tablet data recording.
• Willingness to work in field in remote areas as well as laboratory.
• Knowledge of English with scientific communication skills in addition to Tamil.
4. Project Technical Support -II (Project Technician – III) :
• Laboratory Technology (DMLT) Or 12th Pass in Science subjects and two years Diploma in Medical One-year DMLT + one year laboratory experience in recognized organization Or Two years Field/Laboratory experience in Govt. recognized organization Note: B.Sc. Degree in MLT shall be treated as 3 years’ experience.
• Field experience in surveillance of mosquito vectors/data collection/ laboratory experiments on vector mosquitoes.
Desirable Qualification:
• Knowledge of Computer applications.
• Able to read, write and speak in English and Tamil.
• Active involvement in field data collection/laboratory experiments.
5. Project Technical Support-I (Project Technician I) :
• *Intermediate with science subjects shall be treated as equivalent to 2 years’ experience. High School* or equivalent with one year experience in related field from a Government institution or recognized institute or certificate of one year training in the relevant area or ITI or National Trade Certificate of National Council for Vocational Training and successful completion of ATS in a relevant trade from a Government recognized board.
Desirable Qualification:
• Field experience in surveillance of mosquito vectors/data collection/ community-based surveys.
• Able to interact well with the household members/community.
• Able to write and communicate well in local language in the study districts.
6.Project Administrative Support –IV (MTS) :
• 10th Pass/ High school or equivalent.
Desirable Qualification:
• Driving license holder and able to drive carefully in remote areas/ villages in Tamil Nadu.
• Willingness to drive any time of the day as per the project in public interest.
• Maintenance of vehicle and attending minor repairs as and when needed
