As the Government of India has provided many schemes to encourage the students of reservation category and also for the disability students as Pre Matric and Post Matric Scholarship for Disability Students. As the scholarship for the disability students was launched by the government of India in the financial year 2014-2015 as Central Sponsor scheme for disability to decrease the drop out of students in the secondary stage of education. Scholarship of the disability Students

As the Indian Government always encouraging the person with disability also to get equal opportunity as normal persons introduced this scholarship programs through National Scholarship Portal. This scheme divide the scholarship as two schemes. Such as Pre Matric and Post Matric Scholarship. Pre Matric is for the students pursuing the full time IX and X standard in government school or in school affiliated to the state or central government. Post Matric is applicable for the students of graduation after the secondary education or Matriculation.

Courses which are Not Applicable

Private Pilot License Courses, Aircraft Maintenance Engineer courses, Ship Duffering course of training at Military colleges and fro Pre examination training centres of all India and state level.

Post graduate degree/diploma/certificate Not applicable

Not applicable for the second B.A or Second B.Com (same course in different subjects)

If the candidates who are employed students. Then the income is added with the parents income should not exceeded than the criteria amount two lakhs rupees.

Eligibility Condition

For both the Pre Matric and Post Matric schemes there are some common criteria needed as follows,

Candidate should be Indian if they apply for this scholarship program

As per the disability certificate provided by the medical authority of state government candidate should have disability more than 40 Percent

Only two disabled children from same parents are applicable

If candidates get failed in a class and repeat for next year. The scholarship is not applicable for the second time of same class.

If any other scholarship/Stipend is applicable to the candidates. Candidates have to choose between these scholarships as only one scholarship will be applicable for a student at a time.

Accepting free lodging or a grant or ad hoc monetary help from government or any other source for the book purchase ,equipments or meeting the expenses on the board will be allowed with this scheme.

If the candidates are receiving any coaching for the subjects then that amount will not be eligible for the stipend under coaching schemes.

Reservation For Girls

Pre Matric Scholarship was sanctioned 46000 for each year and post matric as 16650 rupees.

50 percent of the scholarship is reserved for the girl candidates . If they are not present then it will reallot to other candidates.

Post Matric Amount Details

BACHELORS DEGREE in Medicine (Allopathic, Indian and other recognized systems of medicines), Engineering, Technology, Planning, Architecture, Design, Fashion Technology, Agriculture, Veterinary & Allied Sciences, Management, Business Finance /Administration, Computer Science/ Applications will get 1200 /550 Rupees

GROUP 2 Professional Courses leading to Degree, Diploma, I Certificate in areas like pharmacy (B pharma), LLB, BFS, other para-medical branches like Rehabilitation, Diagnostics etc., Mass Communication, Hotel Management & Catering, Travel / Tourism f H ospitality Management, Interior Decoration, Nutrition & Dietetics, Commercial Art, Financial Services (e.g. Banking, Insurance,’ Taxation etc.) for which entrance qualification is minimum Sr. Secondary (10+2) will get 820/530 Rupees

GROUP 3 All other courses leading to a graduate degree not covered under Group I & II eg. BA/B Sc/B Com etc. 570/300 rupees

GROUP 4 All post-matriculation level non-degree courses for which entrance qualification is High School (Class X), e.g. senior secondary certificate (class XI and XII); both general and vocational stream, ITI courses, 3 year diploma courses in Polytechnics, etc. will get 380/230 Rupees

How to apply

  • Students with the disability of the criteria percentage have to apply through online. Simple procedure to guide such students are given below,
  • Before apply please check the official website as provided in below link
  • Click on the link to registration and fill up the required information to create the User ID and Password.
  • Login using the ID and Password and then upload the documents required with the photograph and signature as necessary.
  • Print out the application form and also attest the photocopy of the documents required to apply for this scholarship.
