Educational Qualification For Southern Railway Recruitment 2022 : The minimum educational qualification required for recruitment in the Railways,
- For post in Level 2 / 3 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix : 12th Pass (+2 stage)
- For post in Level 4 / 5 of 7thCPC Pay Matrix : Graduation
- Persons, if appointed in the category of Clerk cum Typist should acquire typing proficiency of 30 w.p.m. in English or 25 w.p.m. in Hindi within a period of 4 years from the date of appointment and till such time their appointments to this category will be provisional.

Minimum Norms For Recruitment Of Sport persons
The minimum sports norms for recruitment of sportspersons in Level-2 to Level-5 in 7th CPC Pay Matrix for both Individual events and team games shall be as under: (Note: These provisions shall be read along with notes given below this Para)
Level 4 & 5 : At least 3rd position in the World Cup (junior/Youth/ senior category) / World Championships (Junior/ senior category) /Asian Games (Senior Category) / Commonwealth Games (Senior Category) / Youth Olympics / Champion Trophy (Hockey). (Category-‘B’)
Level-2 & 3 : Represented the Country in the World Cup (junior/ Youth/senior category)/World Championships (Junior/senior category) /Asian Games (Senior Category)/ Commonwealth Games (Senior Category) / Youth Olympics / Champion Trophy (Hockey) (Category – B) (OR) At least 3rd position in the Commonwealth Championship (Junior/Senior)/Asian Championship (Junior/senior) /Asia Cup (Junior/senior)/South Asian Federation Games (Senior)/USIC (world Railways) championships (senior)/World University Games (Category-C) (OR) At least 3rd position in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships (OR) At least 3rd Position in National Games organized under the Aegis of Indian Olympic Association. (OR) At least 3rd Position in All India Inter University Championships organized under the Aegis of Association of Indian Universities (OR) First position in Federation Cup Championship (Senior Category).
Age Limit For Southern Railway Recruitment 2022
- 18 to 25 Years as on 01-01-2023 (The sportspersons should have been born between 02-01-1998 and 01-01-2005).
- No age relaxation (Upper or Lower) shall be permissible.
