As Board Exams were got over, high ranked students will be planning to join Medicine courses. Thus, SVIMS Tirupati Notification 2016 had recently released their notification for all Medical UG PG candidates for their admission into Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences. It invites the SVIMS Online Applications from the eligible candidates for admission to UG & PG programs. SVIMS ADMISSION 2016
Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences, a tertiary care referral centre and a jewel in the crown of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, Tirupati, has established itself as a Medical University of repute with the blessings of Lord Venkateswara. SVIMS hospital has acquired the state-of-art equipment. The sophisticated medical equipment installed in SVIMS will now facilitate diagnosis and treatment of diseases faster and less cumbersome.
It was established with a view to providing Super Specialty facilities with nominal cost to the poor. Its major objectives include service, training and education in advanced medical sciences and technology. SVIMS has well trained, dedicated faculty to serve the poor and needy patients belonging to not only Andhra Pradesh but also several of the neighbouring states as well. During the last two decades, SVIMS has witnessed a phenomenal growth in academic, research and health care services. Particularly heart-warming is the exemplary performance of SVIMS in the implementation of the NTR Vaidya Seva Scheme of Govt. of Andhra Pradesh and the Sri Venkateswara Pranadana scheme of the TTD. SVIMS has been recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) since 2003 for conducting various DM, MCh, MD courses. In 2006, the Government of India included SVIMS as one of the institutions for upgradation at par with AIIMS, New Delhi under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) scheme. ELIGIBILITY
The candidates who satisfy the Local or Non-local status in Andhra Pradesh/Telangana (Residence requirement) as laid down in Andhra Pradesh Education Institutions. The applicants who have passed MBBS course from a medical college recognized by MCI and completed internship at the time of their applying are eligible. Must be registered with the Medical Council of India/State Medical Council.
Courses Applicable to the PG are given below, Group A – MPT & M.Sc. (Nursing) Group B – M.Sc. (Medical), Biotechnology, Bioinformatics Group C – P.G. Diploma (Paramedical) Courses Group D – Fellowship Certificate Courses Group E – Post Basic Diploma in Nursing
Candidates who are already studying PG Degree/Diploma course shall not be permitted to appear for entrance test unless they fulfill the requisite bond condition executed for the course they are presently enrolled.
SVIMS 2016 ONLINE APPLICATION:
Admissions are made based on the marks secured in the qualifying examination. The percentage of marks shall be calculated up to three decimal places.The marks secured in the bridge course shall be considered for deciding merit, in case the candidate is opting for the course other than the specialty concerned. However, the order of preference to be followed in deciding the merit of the candidate, in case of a tie is given below:
- Passing the qualifying examination in a single attempt
ii. Total marks secured
iii. Optional subjects (Group) marks secured
iv. Elder person based on the date of birth
For applying, Candidates are requested to read the instructions very carefully in below given notification. Once you got cleared with the instructions, now start your filling up of online form by logging into official website which has link for UG PG MEDICAL ADMISSION 2016. Once done, take print of that copy and send relevant photocopies of certificates by post to reach The Registrar, Sri Venkateswara, Alipiri Road, Tirupati – 517 507 on or before 30th June 2016. Meanwhile, the candidates are asked to pay their application fee of Rs.500/- (i.e. Rs.400/- + Rs.100/- for Application Process fee) through Demand Draft( DD) from a nationalized bank in favor of the Director, SVIMS.
