  2. For the departmental quota, candidates must have completed their degree and should have a minimum of 5 years of service as a Grade-II Police Constable, Grade-II Jail Warder, or Grade-II Fireman in the Tamil Nadu Police Department.
  3. For departmental quota, candidates with a minimum of 5 years of service as a Head Constable, Grade-I Jail Warder, or Fireman can also apply.
  4. For the ex-servicemen category, candidates must have completed their degree and should have a minimum of 15 years of service in the Armed Forces or Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) or Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) or Border Security Force (BSF) or Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) or Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) or National Security Guard (NSG) or Railway Protection Force (RPF) or Special Protection Force (SPF) or Home Guards.
