Why Vidya Volunteer

Government of Telangana has recently made its decision to  process of recruitment  of Vidya Volunteer as the recruiting regular teachers by the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) is time-consuming. The Vidya volunteers would continue temporarily in the existing vacancies of secondary grade teachers, school assistants and language pandits till the regular teachers are recruited. So that the education system will be on line .

The system of Vidya volunteers was in practice from late year of 1990 to till in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to meet the shortage of regular teachers so that the standards of imparting education were maintained. They get the  meagre monthly honorarium starting from Rs.1,000. About 8,000 Vidya volunteers were appointed in Telangana during 2015-16 academic year.

What are the  Criteria to be Vidya Volunteer

As the Vidya Volunteer is placing the teachers for government schools on contract basis will terminate before 20th April 2017. First age limit is the first criteria to be checked as they officially announced age of the candidates should be between 18 to 44 years and age relaxation will be applied as per reservation norms.

Now, age is fine. Then, we are now going to look for the educational qualification needed. As per their advertisement, Candidates must possess  Graduation with B.Ed from any recognised institution or university for upper primary and secondary schools and for primary schools Intermediate with D.Ed. If D.Ed candidates are not applied then B.Ed will also considered.

For Languages in Upper Primary & Secondary Schools, Candidates should have Graduation with the language concerned as optional and Pandit Training or B.Ed., in the relevant methodology or  Oriental Title/ Bhasha Praveena/ Vidhwan in the Language concerned or its equivalent with Pandit Training/B.Ed.

How will they Select

It’s simple procedure, they are about to select the candidates based on their academic merit list from  the list of candidates who applied. The selected candidates will call for the interview to complete the process of recruitment.

What will be the weight age of Marks

If you want to be a  Vidya volunteer of  primary schools, then you will get  40% weight age for Inter marks, 30% for D.Ed., 10% for Degree and 20% for TET paper -I ,

If you are interested with  Vidya volunteer for  Upper primary and Second Grade Schools you will get 40% for Degree marks, 30% for B.Ed., or Pundit, 10% for PG and 20% for TET paper-I.

If weight age of two or more Candidates are equal, qualification and then age shall be taken into consideration for arriving at the order of Candidates in the merit list. So don’t wait. Grab the opportunity to start your career.

What will be the Pay scale

Candidates who will work in the government school in contract basis. The more details of the contract will be available in their official website. The pay scale offered for the selected candidates throughout the period is Rs 9335 / – per month.

How to Apply

then enter the details as per the form and attach the documents needed including photograph and signature. Then select submit button. After submission, please take the signed copy of the application form along with the certificates required to the DEO office before deadline.

What are the documents need to be submitted

Copies of the completion certificate and mark certificate  of  SSC, Intermediate, Graduation, Post Graduation, D.Ed., B.Ed., TET , Pandit Training, Oriental Title/ Bhasha Praveena/ Vidhwan

Local Candidate Certificate or Study Certificate issued by the Tahasildar. Caste Certificate issued by the Tahasildar ( Local Tribe Certificate in case of Agency area) and  Physically Challenged Certificate , if applicable.

Engaging of Vidya Volunteers in Agency area shall be from local ST candidates only. If local ST candidates are not available ,then other ST candidate from Agency Area and later non-ST candidates residing in the Agency area shall be considered..

How will They Create Merit List

The District Education Officer is the in charge of merit list preparation in which a committee is formed to do the job. The committee includes Project Officer, ITDA/Addl. Joint Collector/Chief Executive Officer, ZP and District Educational Officer as the Member Secretary under the guidance of district collector He will personally overview the  entire process of engaging these Vidya Volunteers. After finalisation of the list of Vidya Volunteers by this committee. The list was informed also to the Mandal Educational Officers for onward communication to the School Management Committees for engaging the Vidya Volunteers in the school. Any grievance on the above order lies in Appeal to the Director of School Education within a week from the date of publication of the lists by the SMCs.
