TNPSC agriculture officer eligibility 2021:
For the post of Tamilnadu agriculture officer, Tnpsc has set an eligibility criteria to apply for this recruitment. Students are advised to apply only if they meet the eligibility standard.
- The candidate should have passed higher secondary (12th) examination.
- Must possess a 2 year diploma degree in agriculture from either of the following institute:-
- From government of Tamilnadu institutions. (or)
- Affiliated from Gandhigram rural institute, Dindigul district (or)
- Any institute under commissioner of agriculture.
Note:
- Candidates possessing any higher qualification of prescribed specialization will be eligible only if they have completed the 2 year diploma degree. Otherwise students application will be disqualified.
- Candidates should possess adequate knowledge of Tamil.
TNPSC AAO age limit 2021:
The Tamilnadu public service commission has set an certain age limit for candidates according to their belonging category as follows:
- SC/ SC(A), ST, MBC,DC(S), BC,BCM,DESTITUE WIDOW OF ALL CATEGORIES:
Minimum age limit : 18 years
Maximum age limit : No age limit
- Others (not belonging to SC/ SC(A), ST, MBC,DC(S), BC,BCM,DESTITUE WIDOW)
Minimum age limit : 18 years
Maximum age limit : should not have completed 30 years
TNPSC agriculture officer salary 2021:
For the students ,who are selected for the Tamilnadu agriculture officer post will be paid a monthly salary of Rs.20,600 /- to Rs.65500/- (level 10) .
TNPSC AAO selection procedure 2021:
The Tamilnadu public service commission (TNPSC) follows a certain procedure to select the candidates onto board. The following are the steps to select a candidate for the post of agriculture officer:
- Written examination
- Certificate verification
- Final result
Written examination:
Students will be invited to appear for an written examination based on which the candidates will be shortlisted for certificate verification. Questions will be in both English and Tamil. The written examination comprises of two sections as follows:
- PAPER I : 300 marks
- PAPER II : 200 marks
TOTAL : 500 marks
PAPER I:
Paper I is an objective type examination. It is based on the diploma standard. The subjects of agriculture will be asked in the paper I. It contributes 200 questions which is a majority part in the question paper. The examination will be held for 3 hours and 300 marks.
PAPER II:
Paper II is also an objective type for 200 marks and held for a time duration of 2 hours. This exam based on the two topics:
- General studies (HSC STANDARD):
It contributes 75 questions .
- Aptitude and mental ability (SSLC STANDARD):
It contributes 25 questions.

- Examination fees : Rs. 100/-
Note:
- Students who have already registered in one time registration (OTR) need not pay the registration fees.

Candidates who are selected for this recruitment should produce a physical fitness form in the prescribed format at the time of certificate verification. The standard of vision should be STD III or better.
