TNPSC AHO EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION 2021:

Every aspirant who are interested and willing to apply for this post, are to meet the eligibility criteria set by the board. The educational qualification for the post of assistant horticulture officer is mentioned below:-

• Should possess 12^th standard.
• Must possess a 2 year diploma course in the stream of horticulture from any of the below mentioned institutions:

1. From Tamilnadu agriculture University (or)
2. Directorate of horticulture and plantation crops (or)
3. Gandhigram rural institute

TNPSC ASSISTANT HORTICULTURE OFFICER AGE LIMIT 2021:

The age limit for applying to this recruitment has been mentioned in the official notification of the recruitment. The age limit for the candidates belonging to various categories are given below:-

• SC,SC(A),ST,DC,MBC,BC,BCM, DESTITUTE WIDOWS OF ALL CATEGORIES :

Minimum age – 18 years

TNPSC AHO SALARY 2021 :

The salary defined by the board for the candidates selected for the post as mentioned in the notification are as follows:-

• Assistant horticulture officer – The salary for assistant horticulture officer based on level 10 is Rs.20,600/- to Rs.65,500/-.

TNPSC ASSISTANT HORTICULTURE OFFICER SELECTION PROCEDURE 2021:

The candidates who have applied for this recruitment will be selected by two different stages. The students will be shortlisted based on the marks they acquire in the examination. The following are the stages in this recruitment process:-

1. Written examination
2. Certificate verification

Written examination:

The students who have applied for this post, will be called to attend an online examination. They have to download the admit card which will be released prior to examination. This online examination will be a screening test for the candidates, based upon which they will be shortlisted for certificate verification by the department.

Certificate verification:

The candidates who are shortlisted and selected based on the screening examination test, will be asked to attend the certificate verification at the specified venue mentioned by the department in the admit card. Candidates are advised to carry all the required documents in original and photocopies without fail.

FEES DETAILS:

The board of TNPSC has set certain fees structure to apply for this post:

• REGISTRATION FEES – Rs. 150/- ( one time registration valid for 5 years)
• EXAMINATION FEES – Rs.100/-

Note:

Students belonging to SC/ST categories, disable candidates, destitute widows and EX – SERVICEMAN are fully exempted from fees.

TNPSC ASSISTANT HORTICULTURE OFFICER EXAM PATTERN 2021:

The exam pattern is set by the board for selecting candidates to this recruitment. It comprises of two papers , each contributing different part and level. Aspirants have to definitely score a good mark in this examination.

• PAPER I
• PAPER II

PAPER I:

This paper I ( code no : 277) is of objective type and comprises of questions based on subjects studied in the diploma level. The subject of horticulture is the predominant subject in paper. It has 200 questions for 300 marks. The time duration for this examination is 3 hours.

This paper I comprises topics as:-

1. Basic horticulture and plant propagation
2. Soil & fertility, irrigation and weed management
3. Production technology of fruits and vegetables
4. Production technology of flower Crops and landscaping
5. Production technology of spices, plantation crops, medicinal & aromatic crops
6. Insect pest & diseases of horticulture crops and their management
7. Post harvest handling and value adding of horticulture crops
8. Livestock management & poultry management
9. Commercial agriculture
10. Farm management, Marketing & extension education.

PAPER II:

This paper II is of a general section and mental ability. It is of 100 questions for 200 marks. The time duration is 2 hours.

The following is the marks split up for paper II:

• General studies – 75 questions : 150 marks
• Mental ability – 25 questions : 50 marks
• Total : 200 marks

PAPER I : 300 marks

PAPER II : 200 marks

TOTAL : 500 marks

TNPSC ASSISTANT HORTICULTURE OFFICER ADMIT CARD 2021:

The TNPSC assistant horticulture officer admit card for written examination will be released in the official website. Students are to enter their application no /login id along with their date of birth and download their respective admit card.They should carry this admit card along with them at the time of examination.

TNPSC AHO ANSWER KEY 2021:

The Tamilnadu public service commission ( TNPSC) will release the answer key for the written examination in the official website within 3 to 4 days after the commencement of exam. The answer key will be released for both paper I and paper II. Students can analyze this answer key and validate themselves accordingly to it.

TNPSC ASSISTANT HORTICULTURE OFFICER CUT OFF 2021:

The TNPSC assistant horticulture officer cut off marks for the year 2021 is tentatively calculated belonging to the respected categories as:

GENERAL : 500 marks — 200 Minimum Qualifying Marks

ST/SC/OBC : 500 marks — 150 Minimum Qualifying Marks
