Tnpsc Horticulture Officer Eligibility:

Every aspirant who are interested to apply for this recruitment, are to meet the eligibility criteria set by the board. The educational qualification for the posts specified are as follows:-

  • Assistant director of horticulture – B.Sc. (horticulture) from a recognised university or institute.
  • Horticulture officer – M.Sc.( horticulture) from a recognised university or institute.

Tnpsc Horticulture Officer Age Limit:

The age limit for applying to this post has been mentioned in the official notification of the recruitment. The age limit for the various categories are given below:-

  • SC,SC(A),ST,DC,MBC,BC,BCM, DESTITUTE WIDOWS OF ALL CATEGORIES :

Minimum age – 18 years

Maximum age – No age limit

  • Other categories ( not belonging to SC,SC(A),ST,DC,MBC,BC,BCM ) – 30 years

Tnpsc Horticulture Officer Salary :

The salary for the respective post mentioned in the recruitment are as follows:-

  • Horticulture officer – The salary for horticulture officer based on level 22 is 37,700/- to Rs.1,19,500/-.
  • Assistant director of horticulture – The salary for horticulture officer based on level 22 is 56,100/- to Rs.1,77,500/-.

Tnpsc Horticulture Officer Selection Procedure:

The candidates who are interested in this recruitment will be shortlisted in two different stages. The students will be shortlisted based on their marks they acquire in the specified stage. The following are the stages in this recruitment process:-

  1. Written examination
  2. Oral test / Interview

Tnpsc Horticulture Officer Written examination:

The aspirants who have applied for this post, will be invited to attend an online examination. This online examination will be a screening test for the candidates, based upon which they will be shortlisted for a personal interview by the department.

Tnpsc Horticulture Officer Interview:

The candidates who are shortlisted and selected based on the screening test, will be asked to attend the interview at the specified venue mentioned by the department in the admit card. Candidates are asked to attend this interview without any fail.

Tnpsc Horticulture Officer Fees Details:

The board has set certain fees structure to apply for this recruitment:

  • REGISTRATION FEES – 150/- ( one time registration valid for 5 years)
  • EXAMINATION FEES – 200/-

Note:

Students belonging to SC/ST categories and  EX – SERVICEMAN are exempted from fees.

The candidates are to choose an examination center of their own convenience. However for this recruitment, the department will conduct exam in three different cities of Tamilnadu. Students are advised to follow the below mentioned steps and keep it in mind before applying for this post. They are

  • Search for the TNPSC horticulture officer notification 2021 and download it.
  • Read the notification carefully and thoroughly.

STUDENTS ALDREADY ENROLLED IN ONE TIME REGISTRATION (OTR):

Those who have already enrolled in one time registration (OTR) follow the mentioned steps:-

  1. Login with your login id & password given to you at the time of registration.
  2. Then start entering the details carefully.
  3. Submit your online application form.
  4. Make your online payment as mentioned in the notification.
  5. Take a print out for your future reference.

STUDENTS NOT ENROLLED IN OTR:

For students who have registered in one time registration, following are the details to apply online:

  1. Click on “One time registration “.
  2. Enter all your details carefully by filling up the application form.
  3. Upload your recent photograph and signature.
  4. Make sure that your details are correct and enroll yourselves.
  5. Make your registration fees after the submit option.
  6. You will be provided with a login id and password. Take a note of it which is valid for 5 years.
  7. Login with your login id & password given to you at the time of registration.
  8. Submit your online application form.
  9. Make your online payment for the examination fees as mentioned in the notification.
  10. Take a print out for your future reference.

Tnpsc Horticulture Officer Exam Pattern:

The exam pattern is set by the department, for graduation level. It comprises of two papers , each contributing different sections and time. Aspirants have to definitely work hard to score a good mark in this examination.

  • PAPER I ( code no:278)
  • PAPER II ( code no : 171)

PAPER I:

 This paper I is of objective type and comprises of questions based on subjects studied in the graduation. It has 200 questions  for 300 marks. The time duration for this examination is 3 hours.

This paper I comprises topics as:-

  1. Fundamentals of horticulture
  2. Production of horticultural crops
  3. Management technology of horticultural crops
  4. Production technology of fruit crops
  5. Production technology of vegetable crops
  6. Floriculture and landscape gardening
  7. Growth and development of horticulture crops.
  8. Production technology of spices and plantation crops
  9. Production technology of medicinal and aromatic crops
  10. Post harvest technology of horticulture crops

PAPER II:

This paper is of a general section and awareness one. It is 100 questions for 200 marks. The time duration is 2 hours.

The following is the marks split up for paper II:

  • General studies – 75 questions :  150 marks
  • Mental ability – 25 questions :   50 marks
  • Total :    200 marks

PAPER I             :   300 marks

PAPER II           :    200 marks

INTERVIEW     :      70 marks

TOTAL                :    570 marks

Tnpsc Horticulture Officer Admit Card 2021:

The TNPSC horticulture officer admit card will be released in the official website before the examination. Students can enter their application no /login id along with their date of birth and download their admit card.

It is to be noted that separate admit card will be released for each stage, i.e., students will receive an admit card for written examination separately and if so selected they will receive an admit card for interview again.

Tnpsc Horticulture Officer Answer Key 2021:

The TAMILANDU public service commission will release the answer key for the written examination in the official website. The answer key will be for both paper I and paper II. The answer key will be released within 3 to 4 working days after the commencement of examination. Students can analyze this answer key and validate themselves.

Tnpsc Horticulture Officer Cut Off Of The Previous Exam:

The TNPSC horticulture officer cut off marks for the previous recruitment at 2018 belonging to the respected categories are:

GENERAL     :     570 marks — cut off 228

ST/SC/OBC     :    570 marks — cut off 171

Documents Required At Counselling:

 The following are the documents that are mandatory to be carried by the aspirant at the time of counseling:

  1. 10th mark sheet.
  2. 12th mark sheet.
