The Tamil Nadu Public Service commission has recently released their notification and invited application from candidates till  3rd August 2016. Those who forgot to apply can register themselves from now onward as the deadline is nearing. Previously, we helped you with all kinds of recruitment process related to TNPSC. Now we are here to provide you with, TNPSC Personal Assistant Syllabus Exam Pattern 2016.

TNPSC Board Profile

In the year 1923, the British Government established a Public Service Commission to examine the salary structure of the Indian Civil Service. The Commission was composed of four Englishmen and four Indian with Lord Lee of Fareham serving as its Chairman. The Commission also addressed the rate of Indianization of the Indian Civil Service and the Indian Police. It determined a rate which in fifteen years would make the Indian Civil Service with a fifty per cent Indian membership and the same in twenty-five years for the Indian Police.

It was left largely to the discretion of provincial Governments to recruit and exercise control over their Services, as they thought proper. As a result of the discretionary powers left to provincial Government, the Government of Madras and Punjab proposed to set up their Public Service Commissions. The Madras Service Commission thus came into being under an Act of the Madras Legislature in 1929. Madras Presidency had the unique honour, of being the only province in India to establish the first Service Commission.

The vacancies is for various posts such as follows,

  1. Personal Assistant to the HonorableJudges – 76
  2. Personal Assistant (to the Registrars) – 07
  3. Personal Clerk (to the deputyRegistrars) – 01
  4. Computer Operator – 61
  5. Typist – 84
  6. Reader / Examiner – 80
  7. Cashier – 02
  8. Xerox Operator – 06

Selection Process

For Post No.1 , 2 and 3, the selection process will be 3 rounds such as Written exam, Oral Test and Personal Interview. As the exam pattern and syllabus are asked mostly from degree or HSC standard. The candidates need not worry to think that, the exam will be more difficult. Just by more concentration and focus on syllabus will bring success on your way. Each question carried one mark. There is no negative marking will be entertained.The written exam pattern is tabulated as,
