UPPRPB Examination 2016
Uttar Pradesh is one of the largest state with high population. So Police department is one of the efficient and large department with many officials. Recruitment may happen often for every year at various scale officers to protect law and order of the state. Many Aspirants who dream to become a part of police department can grab this chance to fulfil their dream as true. So don’t waste time and start preparing for the written examination. Selection Process
Candidates will be selected based on performance in Online Test, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test(PST), Medical Test conducted by Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB), Lucknow.
Online Exam Pattern for UPPRPB SI(M/F) ,PAC, Fire officer Recruitment 2016
Examination will be conducted for 400 marks. Test will be conducted in the form of Objective type multiple choice questions with four different sections.
- General Hindi-100 Marks
- Basic Law/Constitution/General Knowledge-100 Marks
- Arithmetic and Mental Ability -100 Marks
- Mental Ability Test/ IQ Test/ Logical Test-100 Marks
Paper will be given in the both languages of English and Hindi.
Detailed Syllabus for each section
Syllabus is the overview of topics covered by the examination. Every candidates who are preparing to get placed should first check the syllabus before starting preparation. General Hindi
Hindi is the official language in Uttar Pradesh state. As this section is essential to work in the state police department. This section consist of question from the following topics. Comprehension, Letter Writing, Word Knowledge, Use of Words, Antonyms, Synonyms, One Word Substitutions. Sentence Correction and error detection, Idioms Phrases etc.
Basic Law & Constitution
To serve for law and order each one of the police department have to know the constitutional rights and basic law. Some of the syllabus topics are Indian Constitution, Aim of Constitution, Fundamental Rights, Directive principles, Rules & Regulations of constitutional Amendments, All India Service, Social Law related to Women & Children, Reservation of SC/ ST, Environment, Wild Life Conservation, Human Rights, Traffic Rules, National Security Issues, Principle of Crime Punishment, Right of Self Defence, General Knowledge about Law etc.
General Knowledge
This section is a vast topics as it cannot be prepared in short duration. This section analyse how the candidate are interested in world happenings. This section include basic topics like India and its Adjacent Countries, Current Affairs – National & International, Indian Geography, Indian History, Scientific Progress/Development, National/International Awards, Indian Languages, Books, Script, Capital, Currency, Sports-Athlete and also concentrate more on recent happenings.
Numerical Aptitude
This section analyse the fast thinking and activity of brain in calculations. Some of the basic topics are Number System, Simplification, Decimal & Fraction, HCF& LCM, Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple Interest, Compound Interest, Partnership, Time & Work, Distance, Use of Table & Graph, Mensuration and Miscellaneous. To prepare for this topic, you need to do frequent practice.
Mental Ability Test
Mental Ability test is one of the important test for this recruitment. Not based on the mark allotted but based on the attitude needed for this job. In Police department every day they have to deal with crime or with public. It will need lots of guts to keep the law and order of the state. Thus this mental ability test also check the attitude towards Public Interest, Law & Order, Communal Harmony, Crime Control, Rule of Law, Ability of Adaptability, Professional Information, Police System, Contemporary Police Issues & Law and order, Basic Law, Interest in Profession, Mental Toughness, Sensitivity towards minorities and underprivileged, Gender sensitivity etc.
Some of the topics covered in this sections are Logical Diagrams, Symbol-Relationship Interpretation, Codification, Perception Test, Word formation Test, Crime, Common sense test, Letter and number series, Word and alphabet analogy, Letter and number coding, Direction Sense Test, Logical interpretation of data, Forcefulness of argument etc.
Intelligence Quotient Test
Intelligence Quotient test is also called as IQ test. IQ test is the basic criteria to separate people as smart, intelligent, normal, below normal or mental disability conditions.IQ level of the candidates are checking in this section, So that the IQ level of the candidates should known by the recruitment board. Some topics included in this test are relationship and Analogy Test, Spotting out the dissimilar, Series Completion, Coding-Decoding, Direction Sense Test, Blood Relation, Problems based on Alphabet, Time sequence test, Venn Diagram & chart type test, Mathematical Ability Test, Arranging in Order etc.
Logical Reasoning
Logical reasoning is the test used to check the spontaneous of the candidate which work in a minute of time to take decision. As this feature is very important as a police officer. Many problems and crimes will happen in any minute of time. So their decision should be logical and quick. So logical reasoning help them to analyse your quick thinking. Some of topics are Analogies, Similarities and differences, Space visualization ,Problem Solving , Analysis and Judgment, Visual memory and Observation, Relationship concepts, Arithmetic reasoning, Number series, Verbal and Figure classification ,Rational Discrimination, Decision making.
