UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) had organized the Indian Engineering services (IES) examination on 27th May 2016. The application process has been started from 27th February 2016. This Exam was held for 602 numbers of vacancies for the posts of Engineers in Electrical, Civil, Electronics and Telecommunication, Mechanical, under Engineering Service Examination 2016.Now the Results, Cut off marks are available at Official website.

UPSC is broadly known as Union Public Service Commission. It came into existence in the year 1926 and it is also centralized organization that works under the Government of India. The Organisation conducts various exams like Engineering services exam, combined defence services exam, national defence academy exam, naval academy exam, Central armed Police force, Etc. The Organization also conducts all civil service exams like IAS ,IFS,IPS,Etc. Annually, it releases notification for various post in every category and selects capable candidates according to their talent. Earlier, the recruitment notification no. 5/2016‐ENGG had issued by the Union PSC Board to inform about the vacancies in the field of Engineering Services.The Written Exam for IES Indian Engineering Services 2016 was held in May on 27th, 28th and 29th 2016. Thus the result is going to publish soon by the UPSC.
UPSC ESE 2016 EXAM
The Written Exam Of ESE 2016 consists of 2 sections, whereas 1st section contains Objective type MCQ and 2nd Section Includes Conventional papers. It fully cover the entire syllabus of Engineering. Each carries 200 marks in 2hrs duration. The selection process will be held in two steps, written exam & Personal Interview. For qualified candidates depending on the final merit list, shortlisted candidates are called for the interview and Physical Test as well. Interview of candidates will be conducted after 1 month from the Result Declaration. UPSC Board will intimidate the exact date of interview through Call Letter. The Expected date of Result will be in the month of September. The exact date of interview will be affirmed to the aspirants through the Interview Letter UPSC ESE Result 2016. UPSC CUT OFF MARKS 2016
This Cut Off will change the fate of one’s life. Because above minimum marks scored candidates will be given Rank to that of maximum marks scored all over by the candidates. So, according to cut off marks, the rank list will be prepared. Later, they will be called for next round of interview. Here for your reference, we have also provided with last year cut off marks for ESE in category wise.
Total marks said to be 600 Marks. For Civil Engineering Cut Off is , OBC – 202, ST – 186, SC – 100, Others 90. For Mechanical Engineering, OBC – 279 , ST – 253 , SC – 200. For Electrical Engineering, OBC – 276, ST – 183, SC- 196. For ECE, OBC – 322, ST – 307 , SC- 277.
