TNPSC Group 4 Syllabus Exam Pattern In Tamil & English Pdf: TNPSC GROUP IV exam is the recruitment of government employees for the posts of junior assistant, village administrative officer, typist, draftsman, stenotypist, field surveyor and bill collector. This exam stands to be quite easiest exam among all the exams conducted by TNPSC. TNPSC do set a common syllabus for the aspirants recruitment onto board. The syllabus will be framed according to the standard and qualification that is eligible for the post recruitment. Group 4 Syllabus PDF :
Revised Syllabus for Group 4 & VAO – Unit 8,9 few Topics Included – No Major Changes
General studies is the vast topic that is included in the syllabus. It comprises a number of topics that are being taken from SAMACHEER books of standard 6th to 12th. This topic adds importance to our score in the merit list as it contains 75 questions solidly.
Here are the topics that come under general studies :
- History and culture of India
- Indian polity
- Indian economy
- Indian National movement
- Current events
It is to be noted that current events/ current affairs would be asked from any part of the topic that happened or happening recently.
This is a subject which is chosen as per aspirant’s wish. They should carefully select the subject at which they are strong enough and they can compete. This section comprise of three sections – PART A,PART B,PART C. Each section comprises of topics related to Tamil grammar and Tamil lessons up to SSLC standard.
It is the most important and highly scoring section in the GROUP IV exam. It comprises of total 100 questions, which is huge weightage and top scoring subject in the syllabus. It is therefore to be given a high importance in preparing this section. TNPSC GROUP IV questions for general Tamil are taken from samacheer books 6th to 10th Books.
APTITUDE / MENTAL ABILITY:
As we all know this section is of quantitative aptitude and logical reasoning. This covers topics related to mathematics from school standard like LCF -HCM,RATIO, PERCENTAGE, PROBABILITY, PROFIT &LOSS, AREA & VOLUME, NUMBER SERIES & etc.. These topics are to be dealt with clean understanding of the concepts and practicing the problems.
This section covers an about 25 questions out of 200 questions. Though it seems to be of less part, it is where you can increase your position in the merit list. It is obvious that each topic gains its own importance in its way. This section need not to be memorized ,it is a simple level of understanding and practice that makes you this section easy.
QUALIFYING MARKS IN GROUP IV:
The TNPSC GROUP IV exam pattern comprises of :
- GENERAL TAMIL – 100 QUESTIONS
- GENERAL STUDIES- 75 QUESTIONS.
- GENERAL APTITUDE- 25 QUESTIONS.
This exam is total of 200 questions for 300 marks and the duration is 3 hours. The qualifying marks for this exam is 90 marks. So it is clear that an aspirant should concentrate on his own choice of language for qualifying and to study other subjects mean while to score a decent rank in the merit list.
