NIE Recruitment 2023 05 Project Technical Support Posts : The National Institute of Epidemiology (NIE), under the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), has released a notification for the recruitment of 05 Project Technical Support posts. The positions available are Project Technical Support I (Health Assistant), Project Technical Support I (Field Assistant), Project Technical Support II (Lab), and Project Technical Support II (X-Ray Technician). Eligibility Criteria: Candidates interested in applying for these positions must meet the following eligibility criteria

Educational Qualification:  

Project Technical Support I (Health Assistant) High school* or equivalent with five year’s work experience in the health field from a government Institution or recognized Institute. *Intermediate with science subjects and B.sc, degree (Sociology, Social science/Social works/Statistics/Bio statistics/Life science) shall be treated as 02 year’s & 03 years experience respectively.
Desirable Qualification and Experience: Experience of working in community based research projects , Experience of working in TB program or related activities , Good communication skills , Fluency in Tamil
Project Technical Support I (Field Assistant) – High School* or equivalent with five years’ work experience in health field from a Government Institution or recognized Institute. *Intermediate with science subjects and B.sc, degree (Sociology, Social science/Social works/Statistics/Bio statistics/Life science) shall be treated as 02 year’s & 03 years experience respectively.
Desirable Qualification and Experience: Experience of working in community based research projects , Experience of working in TB program or related activities ,  Good communication skills ,  Fluency in Tamil
Project Technical Support II (Lab) –  12th pass in science subjects + Diploma (MLT/DMLT/engineering) + 5 years experience in relevant subject or field.
Notes: *B.Sc degree in Medical Laboratory Technology shall be treated as 3 years of experience
Desirable Qualifications and Experience: Work experience in a clinical microbiology/ diagnostic laboratory at a recognized Teaching Hospital/ Medical Research Institution/NABL-accredited laboratory , Working knowledge of MS Office applications
Project Technical Support II (X-Ray Technician) – 12th pass in science subjects + Diploma in X Ray Technician/radiology/radiography + 5 years experience Notes *B.Sc degree in Medical Laboratory Technology shall be treated as 3 years of experience
Desirable Qualifications and Experience: Experience of working in community based research projects, Experience of working in TB program or related activities , Good communication skills ,  Fluency in Tamil

Age Limit: The maximum age limit varies for each post between 28 to 35 years depending on the post. The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Candidates Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per Govt. Rules.

Salary Details: Selected candidates will be eligible for a competitive salary as per the rules of ICMR.

1. Project Technical Support I (Health Assistant) – Rs. 18,000/- + admissible HRA per month
2. Project Technical Support I (Field Assistant) – Rs. 18,000/- + admissible HRA per month
3. Project Technical Support II (Lab) – Rs. 20,000/- + admissible HRA per month
4. Project Technical Support II (X-Ray Technician) – Rs. 20,000/- + admissible HRA per month

Selection Process: The selection process for these posts may include a written test/interview, as decided by the selection committee. The final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the interview and their qualifications.
