Eligibility Criteria: Candidates interested in applying for the SSB SI Recruitment 2023 must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
Nationality: Candidates must be citizens of India.
Age Limit: The age of the candidates should be between 18 and 32 years as of the closing date of application. Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules for reserved categories.The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Candidates Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per Govt. Rules.
Educational Qualification: The educational qualifications required for each post are as follows:
- Sub Inspector (Pioneer) – Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised University or Institute.
- Sub Inspector (Draughtsman) – Matriculation pass or equivalent from a recognised Board. Two years National Tradesmen certificate issued by a recognised Industrial Training Institute or equivalent recognised institution; and One year certificate course or one year experience in AUTOCAD from a Government Institution or a recognised Institution.Desirable:- One year experience in Draftsmanship from a recognised Architect Consultancy Firm of Category ‘B’ and ‘C’.
- Sub Inspector (Communication) – Degree in Electronics and Communication or Computer Science or Information Technology Engineering or Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised University or Institution.
- Sub Inspector (Staff Nurse Female) – Should have passed 10+2 in Science or equivalent from a recognized University or Board or Institution. Should have three years Diploma in General Nursing from an Institution recognized by the State or Central Government. Must be registered with Central or State Nursing Council. Two years experience in a recognised Hospital.
Salary and Pay Scale: Selected candidates will receive a handsome salary package as per the guidelines of the Sashastra Seema Bal. The salary and pay scale for Sub-Inspectors will be in accordance with the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) recommendations which is of Level-6 Rs.35400-112400/.
Selection Process: The selection process for SSB SI Recruitment 2023 will consist of the following stages:
Physical Efficiency Test, Physical Standard Test (PST)
Written Exam
Documentation, Detailed Medical Examination (DME)/Review Medical Examination (TME)
Final Selection
Written Examination: Candidates will have to appear for a written examination which will test their knowledge and aptitude related to the respective field.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for a PET, which includes physical tests such as running, long jump, high jump, etc.
Detailed Medical Examination (DME): Candidates who clear the PET will undergo a detailed medical examination to ensure they meet the medical standards required for the respective post.
Document Verification: After successfully completing the above stages, candidates will be called for document verification to verify their eligibility and supporting documents.

However, SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen and female candidates are exempted from payment of examination fees
