Eligibility Criteria: To apply for the Tamil Nadu Post Office Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) Recruitment 2023, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:
Age Limit: The minimum age limit is 18 years, and the maximum age limit is 40 years. The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Educational Qualification: Secondary School Examination pass certificate of 10th standard having passed in Mathematics and English (having been studied as compulsory or elective subjects) conducted by any recognized Board of School Education by the Government of India/State Governments/ Union Territories in India shall be a mandatory educational qualification for all approved categories of GDS. The applicant should have studied the local language i.e. (Name of Local language) at least up to Secondary standard (as compulsory or elective subjects].
Other Qualifications: Knowledge of computer, Knowledge of cycling, Adequate means of livelihood
Salary and Benefits: Selected candidates for the Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) posts will be offered a decent salary package as per the rules and regulations of the Tamil Nadu Post Office. Along with the salary, they will also receive various benefits and allowances provided by the government. Emoluments in the form of Time Related Continuity Allowance(TRCA) is paid to GDS. The following minimum TRCA shall be payable to different categories of GDS after engagement:
