விடை: ஆ. 8 பில்லியன்

• “உலக மக்கள்தொகை வாய்ப்புகள் – 2022” அறிக்கையின்படி, 2022 நவம்பர்.15 அன்று உலக மக்கள்தொகை 8 பில்லியனை எட்டும். கடந்த 1950ஆம் ஆண்டுக்குப் பிறகு முதன்முறையாக கடந்த 2020இல் உலக மக்கள்தொகை வளர்ச்சி 1 சதவீதத்திற்கும் குறைவாகச் சரிந்துள்ளது என்றும் 2030ஆம் ஆண்டில் 8.5 பில்லியனாகவும், 2050ஆம் ஆண்டில் 9.7 பில்லியனாகவும், 2080ஆம் ஆண்டில் 10.4 பில்லியனாகவும் அது உயரும் என்றும் ஐநா தெரிவித்து உள்ளது. தற்போது 1.412 பில்லியன் மக்கள்தொகைகொண்ட இந்தியா, அடுத்த ஆண்டு 1.426 பில்லியன் மக்கள் தொகையுடன் சீனாவை விஞ்சும்.

• பாலியில் நடைபெற்றுக் கொண்டிருக்கும் G–20 உச்சிமாநாட்டின் ஒரு பகுதியாக சர்வதேச கடன் வழங்குநர்கள் மற்றும் முக்கியத்துவம் வாய்ந்த நாடுகளுடன் இந்தோனேசியா ஜஸ்ட் எனர்ஜி டிரான்சிஷன் பார்ட்னர்ஷிப்பில் கையெழுத்திட்டது. $20 பில்லியன் டாலர்கள் மதிப்பிலான இந்த ஒப்பந்தம், இந்தோனேசியாவின் புதுப்பிக்கத்தக்க எரிசக்தி பயன்பாட்டை அதிகரிக்கவும், நிலக்கரியைச் சார்ந்திருப்பதைக் குறைக்கவும் நிதியுதவி அளிக்கும்.

• எகிப்தில் நடந்த COP27 காலநிலை உச்சிமாநாட்டில் G7 மற்றும் 58 காலநிலை மாற்றத்தால் பாதிக்கப்படக்கூடிய நாடுகளின் V20 குழுவால், ‘குளோபல் ஷீல்ட்’ என்ற காப்பீட்டு முனைவு அதிகாரப்பூர்வமாக தொடங்கப்பட்டது. கால நிலை பேரழிவுகள் ஏற்பட்டால் குறைந்த வருமானம் மற்றும் பாதிக்கப்படக்கூடிய நாடுகளுக்கு உதவ ஜெர்மனி $172 மில்லியன் அமெரிக்க டாலர்களை வழங்கும். கனடா, அயர்லாந்து மற்றும் டென்மார்க்போன்ற நாடுகள் இதுவரை மேலும் €40 மில்லியன் யூரோக்களை இம்முனைவுக்கு அளிப்பதாக உறுதியளித்துள்ளன. அமெரிக்க அதிபரும் இந்த முனைவுக்கு ஆதரவளிப்பதாக அறிவித்தார்.

• காலநிலை மாற்ற செயல்திறன் குறியீட்டின்படி, காலநிலை தணிப்பில் தற்போதைய முன்னணியில் டென்மார்க் தொடர்ந்து உள்ளது. ‘உயர்ந்த’ தேசிய மற்றும் ‘மிகவுயர்ந்த’ மதிப்பிடப்பட்ட சர்வதேச காலநிலைக் கொள்கையைக் கொண்ட ஒரே நாடு டென்மார்க் ஆகும். டென்மார்க் நான்காவது இடத்தையும் ஸ்வீடன் அதனைத் தொடர்ந்த இடத்தையும் பெற்றுள்ளது. எந்த நாடும் முதல் 3 இடங்களைப் பெறவில்லை. இந்தியா எட்டாவது இடத்தில் உள்ளது.

• எண்ணெய் & இயற்கை எரிவாயு கழகத்தின் (ONGC) தளத்தில் மும்பைக்கு அப்பாலுள்ள கடல்சார் சொத்துக்களைப் பாதுகாப்பதில் நிறுவன செயல்திறனை மதிப்பிடுவதற்காக இந்திய கடற்படை, ‘பிரஸ்தான்’ என்ற கட்டமைக்கப்பட்ட பயிற்சியை நடத்தியது. ‘பிரஸ்தான்’ பயிற்சியானது ஆண்டுக்கு இரண்டு முறை மேற்கு கடற்படை தலைமையின் கீழ் நடைபெறுகிறது. இந்தியாவின் கடற்கரையோரங்களில் உள்ள எண்ணெய் உற்பத்தி தளங்களைப் பாதுகாக்கும் பொறுப்பு முதன்மையாக இந்திய கடற்படையிடம் ஒப்படைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

• இந்தியா–மொசாம்பிக்–தான்சானியா முத்தரப்பு பயிற்சியின் முதலாம் பதிப்பு சமீபத்தில் தான்சானியாவின் டார் எஸ் சலாமில் தொடங்கியது. இந்திய கடற்படையை வழிகாட்டப்பட்ட ஏவுகணை போர்க்கப்பல், INS தர்காஷ், ஒரு சேதக் உலங்கு வானூர்தி மற்றும் மார்கோஸ் (சிறப்புப்படைகள்) ஆகியவை பிரதிநிதித்துவப்படுத்துகின்றன. இப்பயிற்சி மூன்று நோக்கங்களைக் கொண்டுள்ளது: பயிற்சி மற்றும் சிறந்த நடைமுறைகளைப் பகிர்ந்துகொள்வதன்மூலம் பொதுவான அச்சுறுத்தல்களை எதிர்கொள்ளும் திறன் மேம்பாடு; இயங்குதன்மையை மேம்படுத்துதல் மற்றும் கடல்சார் ஒத்துழைப்பை வலுப்படுத்துதல்.

• நடுவண் ஊரக வளர்ச்சி அமைச்சகமானது ‘சரஸ் உணவுத்திருவிழா’வை நடத்துகிறது. சமீபத்தில், ஊரக வளர்ச்சி அமைச்சர் புது தில்லியில், ‘சரஸ் உணவுத்திருவிழா – 2022’ஐத் தொடங்கிவைத்தார். சுயஉதவி குழுக்கள் சார்ந்த பெண்களால் தயாரிக்கப்பட்ட சரஸ் தயாரிப்புகளை சிறந்த முறையில் சந்தைப்படுத்துவதற்காக www.esaras.in என்ற இணையதளத்தையும் அமைச்சர் தொடங்கிவைத்தார். நடுவண் ஊரக வளர்ச்சி அமைச்சகம் அனைத்து மாநில தலைநகரங்கள், முக்கிய நகரங்கள் மற்றும் பெருநகரங்கள், விமான நிலையங்கள் மற்றும் இரயில் நிலையங்களில் பெண்கள் சுய உதவிக்குழுக்களால் சரஸ் அரங்குகளை நிறுவவுள்ளது.

• இந்தியப் பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோதி அண்மையில் குஜராத் மாநிலத்தின் ஏக்தா நகரத்தில் புதிர்வழித்தோட்டம் மற்றும் மியாவாக்கி வனத்தை நாட்டுக்கு அர்ப்பணித்தார். ஜப்பான் நாட்டின் தாவரவிய வல்லுநரும், சுற்றுச்சூழல் நிபுணருமான டாக்டர் அகிரா மியாவாக்கி உருவாக்கிய நுட்பத்தின் பெயரால் இந்தக் காடு அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. இந்தப் புதிய நுட்பத்தின்படி, பல்வேறு இனங்களின் மரக்கன்றுகள் ஒன்றோடு ஒன்று நெருக்கமாக நடப்பட்டு, அதன் மூலம் அடர்ந்த நகர்ப்புற காடு உருவாக்கப்படுகிறது.

• ஜம்மு–காஷ்மீர் யூனியன் பிரதேசத்தில் உள்ள கிஸ்த்வார் மாவட்டத்தில் செனாப் ஆற்றின்மீது கட்டப்பட்டு வரும் திட்டமே ரேட்டில் நீர் மின்னுற்பத்தித் திட்டம் ஆகும். அந்த நீர் மின்னுற்பத்தி நிலையத்தில் நிலச்சரிவு ஏற்பட்டதில், 4 பேர் மரணித்தனர் மற்றும் 15 பேர் காயமடைந்தனர். கடந்த 2021ஆம் ஆண்டில், 850 MW மின்னுற்பத்தித்திறன் கொண்ட ரேட்டில் நீர் மின்னுற்பத்தித் திட்டத்திற்கு `5281.94 கோடி முதலீடு ஒதுக்கி நடுவணமைச்சரவை ஒப்புதல் அளித்தது.

• வங்காளதேச திரைப்பட விழாவின் நான்காம் பதிப்பு கொல்கத்தாவில் நடைபெற்று வருகிறது. 5 நாட்கள் நடைபெறும் இவ்விழாவில் வங்காளதேசத்தைச் சேர்ந்த 37 திரைப்படங்கள் மற்றும் ஆவணப்படங்கள் திரையிடப்படும். நான்காம் ஆண்டாக கொல்கத்தாவில் வங்காளதேச திரைப்பட விழா நடத்தப்படுகிறது. புத்தகக் கண்காட்சிகள் மற்றும் திரைப் பட விழாக்கள் போன்ற கலாச்சார நிகழ்வுகள் இந்தியா மற்றும் வங்காளதேசம் மற்றும் மேற்கு வங்காளம் மற்றும் வங்காளதேசம் இடையேயான பிணைப்பை மிகுந்து வலுப்படுத்துகின்றன.

• As per the ‘World Population Prospects 2022’ report, that the world’s population will reach 8 billion on November 15, 2022. The UN also said global population growth fell below 1 per cent in 2020 for the first time since 1950. The world’s population could grow to around 8.5 billion in 2030, 9.7 billion in 2050 and a peak of around 10.4 billion during the 2080s. India, with a current population of 1.412 billion, will surpass China, with a current population of 1.426 billion, next year.

• Indonesia signed Just Energy Transition Partnership, or JETP, with international lenders and major nations on the sidelines of the G–20 summit in Bali. The USD 20 billion agreement will provide funding to help the country increase its use of renewable energy and reduce its reliance on coal.

• The ‘Global Shield’ insurance initiative was officially launched by the G7 and the V20 group of 58 climate vulnerable nations at the COP27 climate summit in Egypt. Germany will provide USD 172 million to the initiative to help low–income and vulnerable countries to rebound in the event of climate calamities. Countries like Canada, Ireland and Denmark have so far pledged a further €40 million to the initiative. The US President also announced to support the initiative.

• Indian Navy conducted ‘Prasthan’, structured exercise to evaluate organisational effectiveness in protecting offshore assets off Mumbai on an Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) platform. ‘Prasthan’ is conducted twice a year under the aegis of Western Naval Command. The Indian Navy is the lead agency and is entrusted with the responsibility of protecting the oil production platforms off the coasts of India.

• The first edition of the India–Mozambique–Tanzania Trilateral Exercise has recently commenced at Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. Indian Navy is represented by the guided missile frigate, INS Tarkash, a Chetak helicopter and MARCOS (Special Forces). The exercise has three objectives: capability development to address common threats through training and sharing of best practices, enhancing interoperability, and strengthening maritime cooperation.

• Union Rural Development Ministry organises the ‘SARAS Food festival’. Recently the Rural Development Minister inaugurated the ‘Saras Food Festival, 2022 in New Delhi. Ministry of Rural Development is establishing Saras stalls by women SHGs in all State capitals, major cities and metros, airports and railway stations.

• The Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently dedicated Maze Garden and Miyawaki Forest in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat. The Miyawaki Forest is named after the technique developed by a Japanese botanist and ecologist Dr Akira Miyawaki to plant saplings of various species close to each other which develops into a dense urban forest.

• The Ratle hydro–electric project is a project under construction on Chenab River in Kisthwar district in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. After landslides hit the hydropower plant, 4 people died and over 15 people were injured. In 2021, the Union Cabinet gave its approval for the investment of Rs.5281.94 crore for 850 MW Ratle Hydro Electric Project.

• The fourth edition of the Bangladesh Film Festival is being hosted in Kolkata. 37 films and documentaries from Bangladesh will be screened at the five–day event. This will be the fourth year, that the Bangladesh Film Festival is being organised in Kolkata.
