• Under section 45ZN of the RBI Act, the central bank is required to submit a report to the government explaining the reasons and remedial actions it would take, in case of failure to maintain its inflation target for three consecutive quarters. For the first time since the implementation of the monetary policy framework in 2016, the central bank has called a special meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC). It will submit a report to the government, as the retail inflation rate is above six per cent target for three consecutive quarters from January 2022.

Hero Motocorp announced to invest USD 60 million in US–based Zero Motorcycles to jointly develop electric motorcycles. It already has a stake Ather Energy.
