• பிரதமர் கிராம சதக் யோஜனா (PMGSY)-IIIஐ ஹிமாச்சல பிரதேசத்தின் சம்பாவில் பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோதி தொடங்கி வைத்தார். பிரதமர் கிராம சதக் யோஜனா (PMGSY)-III ஹிமாச்சல பிரதேச மாநிலத்தில் சுமார் 3125 கிலோமீட்டர் சாலைகளை மேம்படுத்தும். ஹிமாச்சல பிரதேச மாநிலத்தின் தொலைதூரத்தொகுதிகளில் உள்ள 440 கிலோமீட்டர் சாலைகளை மேம்படுத்துவதற்காக இந்தக் கட்டத்தின்கீழ் `420 கோடிக்கு மேல் நடுவணரசு ஒதுக்கியுள்ளது.

• நடுவண் பெட்ரோலியம் மற்றும் இயற்கை எரிவாயு அமைச்சர் ஹர்தீப் சிங் பூரி, பஞ்சாப் மாநிலம் சங்ரூரில் உள்ள லேராககாவில் ஆசியாவின் மிகப்பெரிய அமுக்கப்பட்ட உயிரி வாயு ஆலையைத் திறந்து வைத்தார். சங்ரூரில் உள்ள இந்த ஆலையானது ஜெர்மனியின் முன்னணி பயோஎனெர்ஜி நிறுவனங்களில் ஒன்றான வெர்பியோ AGஆல் `220 கோடி அந்நிய நேரடி முதலீட்டில் திறக்கப்பட்டது. சுமார் 20 ஏக்கர் பரப்பளவில் பரந்து விரிந்த இது தற்போது நாளொன்றுக்கு ஆறு டன் அமுக்கப்பட்ட உயிரி வாயுவை உற்பத்தி செய்கிறது.

• ‘பிரதமர் ஆவாஸ் யோஜனா-நகர்ப்புற (PMAY-U) விருதுகள் 2021இல்’ உத்தர பிரதேச மாநிலம் முதலிடத்தைப் பிடித்தது. அதைத் தொடர்ந்து மத்திய பிரதேசமும் தமிழ்நாடும் முறையே இரண்டாவது மற்றும் மூன்றாவது இடத்தில் உள்ளன. குஜராத் ஐந்து சிறப்புப் பிரிவு விருதுகளைப் பெற்றது, ஜம்மு-காஷ்மீர் ஆனது தாத்ரா மற்றும் நகர் ஹவேலி மற்றும் டாமன் & டையூவுடன் இணைந்து ‘சிறந்த செயல்திறன் கொண்ட UT’ எனத் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டது. 1.23 கோடி வீடுகள் இத்திட்டத்தின்கீழ் கட்டுவதற்கு ஒப்புதல் வழங்கப்பட்டது. இதில் 64 இலட்சம் வீடுகள் ஏற்கனவே முடிக்கப்பட்டு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளன; மீதமுள்ளவை இறுதிக்கட்டங்களில் உள்ளன.

• கடந்த 2020ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான, ‘தாதாசாகேப் பால்கே’ விருதுக்கு மூத்த நடிகை ஆஷா பரேக் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டு, புது தில்லியில் நடைபெறும் தேசிய திரைப்பட விருது விழாவில் அவருக்கு அவ்விருது வழங்கப்படவுள்ளது. தமிழ்த் திரையுலகின், ‘சூப்பர் ஸ்டார்’ இரஜினிகாந்த், 2021ஆம் ஆண்டுக்கான, ‘தாதாசாகேப் பால்கே’ விருதைப் பெற்றார். 52ஆவது ‘தாதாசாகேப் பால்கே’ விருதுபெற்ற ஆஷா பரேக், 95-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட படங்களில் பணியாற்றியதோடு, 1998-2001 வரை நடுவண் திரைப்பட சான்றிதழ் வாரியத்தின் தலைவராகவும் இருந்தார். கடந்த 1954ஆம் ஆண்டு நிறுவப்பட்ட இந்த விருதுகளை தேசிய திரைப்பட மேம்பாட்டுக் கழகம் ஏற்பாடு செய்துள்ளது.

• The Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY)–III in Chamba, Himachal Pradesh. The Prime Minister also launched Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY)–III in Himachal Pradesh for the upgradation of around 3125 kilometres of roads in the state. More than Rs 420 crores has been sanctioned by the Central Government under this phase for the upgradation of 440 kilometres of roads in 15 border and far–flung blocks of the state.

• Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri inaugurated Asia’s largest Compressed Bio Gas (CBG) plant in Lehragaga, Sangrur, Punjab. The CBG Plant at Sangrur was inaugurated with an FDI investment of Rs 220 crores by Verbio AG, one of the top bioenergy companies in Germany. It is spread out across around 20 acres and currently produces about 6 Tons Per Day (TPD) of CBG.

• Veteran actor Asha Parekh has been selected for the Dadasaheb Phalke award for the year 2020 and will be presented the award at the National Film Awards ceremony, to be held in New Delhi. Tamil film superstar Rajinikanth was the recipient of the last Dadasaheb Phalke award. Asha Parekh, the 52^nd awardee of the honour, worked in more than 95 films and was the chairperson of the Central Board of Film Certification from 1998–2001. Established in 1954, the awards are being organised by the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC).
