• ஆஸ்திரேலியாவில் உள்ள ஒழுங்குமுறை ஆணையம், மரபணு மாற்றப்பட்ட இந்திய கடுகு இனமான, ‘Brassica juncea’ வணிக ரீதியாக பயிரிட ஒப்புதல் அளித்துள்ளது. மரபணு மாற்றப்பட்ட இந்திய கடுகு வணிகரீதியாக பயிரிட அனுமதிக்கப்படுவது இதுவே முதல்முறையாகும். மரபணு மாற்றப்பட்ட (GM) கடுகு பயிரிடலுக்கான அனுமதிக்காக இந்தியாவும் காத்துக்கொண்டுள்ளது. கனோலா (Brassica napus) வணிக பயன்பாட்டிற்காக அனுமதி பெற்ற ஒரே GM வகை கடுகாகும்.

The canola (Brassica napus) is the only GM mustard variety that was cleared for commercial application.

Other findings include stone games, water filter structure, coins and Brahmi inscriptions.

• The Supreme Court ruled that all women are entitled to safe and legal abortion and that the distinction between married and unmarried women in this matter is unconstitutional. A three-judge bench headed by Justice DY Chandrachud ruled that under the Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act, the definition of rape must include marital rape.
