விடை: ஆ. Sustainable Shipping beyond COVID–19

• ஒவ்வோர் ஆண்டும் ஏப்.5 அன்று இந்தியா தனது தேசிய கடல்சார் நாளைக்கொண்டாடுகிறது. இந்த ஆண்டு (2022) இந்தியா தனது 59ஆவது தேசிய கடல்சார் நாளைக் கொண்டாடியது. “Sustainable Shipping beyond COVID–19” என்பது நடப்பு 2022ஆம் ஆண்டில் வந்த தேசிய கடல்சார் நாளுக்கானக் கருப்பொருளாகும். பன்னாட்டு வர்த்தகம் மற்றும் பொருளாதாரம் பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்துவதற்காக கடந்த 1964ஆம் ஆண்டில் இந்த நாள் முதன் முதலாக கடைப்பிடிக்கப்பட்டது. இந்திய கடல்சார் தொழிற்துறைக்கு முக்கியப் பங்காற்றியவர்களைக் கௌரவிக்கும் வகையில் விருது வழங்கும் விழாவும் இந்நாளின்போது நடத்தப்படுகிறது.

• போலந்து நாளேடான, ‘Gazeta Wyborcza’ ஆனது உலக செய்தி வெளியீட்டாளர்கள் சங்கத்தால் ‘கோல்டன் பென் ஆஃப் ஃப்ரீடம்’ விருது வழங்கி கௌரவிக்கப்பட்டது. இந்த விருது தற்போது ஸ்பெயினின் சராகோசாவில் நடைபெற்று வரும் 2022 – உலக செய்தி ஊடக மாநாட்டின்போது அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது. ‘கோல்டன் பென் ஆஃப் ஃப்ரீடம்’ என்பது WAN–IFRAஆல் ஆண்டுதோறும் வழங்கப்படும் ஒரு விருது ஆகும். இது பத்திரிகை சுதந்திரத்தைப் பாதுகாப்பதற்கும் மேம்படுத்துவதற்கும் பங்களிக்கும் தனிநபர்கள் அல்லது நிறுவனங்களை அங்கீகரிக்கிறது.

• நடுவண் சுற்றுலா அமைச்சகம், ‘இந்திய சுற்றுலா புள்ளிவிவரங்கள் – 2022’ என்ற தலைப்பில் ஓர் அறிக்கையை வெளியிட்டது. உலக சுற்றுலா நாளில் இந்தியக்குடியரசுத்துணைத்தலைவர் ஜக்தீப் தங்கர் இதனை வெளியிட்டார். தமிழ்நாட்டின் செங்கல்பட்டு மாவட்டத்தில் அமைந்துள்ள மாமல்லபுரத்தில் உள்ள நினைவுச்சின்னங்களின் குழுமம் 2021–22 இடைப்பட்ட காலத்தில் அயல்நாட்டுப் பார்வையாளர்களால் அதிகமுறை கண்டு களிக்கப்பட்ட நினைவுச் சின்னமாகும். தாஜ்மஹால் உள்நாட்டுப் பார்வையாளர்களுக்கு அதிகமுறை கண்டுகளிக்கப்பட்ட நினைவுச்சின்னம் ஆகும். செங்கோட்டை மற்றும் குதுப் மினார் முறையே இரண்டாவது மற்றும் மூன்றாவது இடத்தில் உள்ளன.

• இந்தியாவைச் சேர்ந்த பெண்ணுரிமை ஆர்வலரான சிருஷ்டி பக்ஷி, UN SDG அதிரடி விருதுகளுள், ‘சேஞ்ச்மேக்கர்’ விருதை வென்றுள்ளார். பாலின அடிப்படையிலான வன்முறை மற்றும் சமத்துவமின்மை குறித்த விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்துவதற்காக ஓராண்டுக்குள் நாடு முழுவதும் 3800 கிலோ மீட்டர் அவர் பயணம் செய்துள்ளார். “பாலின அடிப்படையிலான வன்முறையை எதிர்கொண்டதற்காகவும், பொது இடங்களுக்குப் பாதுகாப்பான அணுகலை வழங்க வாதிட்டதற்காகவும்” அவருக்கு இவ்விருது வழங்கப்பட்டது.

The Group of Monuments at Mamallapuram in Tamil Nadu was the most visited centrally–protected ticketed monument for foreign visitors. in 2021–22. Taj Mahal was the most popular centrally–protected ticketed monument for domestic visitors. The Red Fort and the Qutub Minar were the second and third most visited sites.

• The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved a proposal for the redevelopment of three major railway stations — New Delhi, Ahmedabad and CSMT Mumbai. With an approximate total investment of nearly Rs 10,000 crore, the stations will be redeveloped using Green Building Techniques with solar energy, water conservation, and recycling and improved tree cover. They will be integrated with other modes of transportation like metro and bus. The total cost of redevelopment of 199 stations including these three major stations is Rs 60,000 crores.

• Alphabet Inc’s Google has announced to set up its first cloud region in Greece, as the country is making efforts to become a world cloud computing hub. The deal is estimated to contribute some USD 2.13 billion to the GDP of Greece and create some 20,000 jobs by 2030. A cloud region is based around a cluster of data centres. Microsoft has also decided to build a data centre hub in the country.
