• “Emissions Gap Report 2022: The Closing Window” என்ற தலைப்பிலான ஓர் அறிக்கையை ஐக்கிய நாடுகளின் சுற்றுச்சூழல் திட்டம் (UNEP) வெளியிட்டது. இந்தியாவின் தனிநபர் பைங்குடில் வாயு வெளியேற்றம் 2.4 tCO2e (டன் கரியமிலவாயுவுக்குச் சமம்) ஆக உள்ளது. இது கடந்த 2020ஆம் ஆண்டில் இருந்த உலக சராசரியான 6.3 tCO2eஐ விட மிகக்குறைவாகும். அமெரிக்காவைப் பொறுத்தவரை இந்த வெளியேற்றம் அதிக அளவாக 14 tCO2e என்ற அளவில் உள்ளது. அமெரிக்காவைத் தொடர்ந்து ரஷ்யாவும் (13 tCO2e) சீனாவும் (9.7 tCO2e) உள்ளன.

• 2022 அக்டோபர் மாதத்திற்கான பண்டகச் சந்தைகள் கண்ணோட்ட அறிக்கையை உலக வங்கி அண்மையில் வெளியிட்டது. இந்த அறிக்கையின்படி, அடுத்த ஈராண்டுகளில் உலகளவில் எரிசக்தி விலைகள் குறையும், ஆனால் இதுவரை இருந்துவரும் சராசரியைவிட அது அதிகமாக இருக்கும். எதிர்வரும் 2023ஆம் ஆண்டில் எரிசக்தி விலை 11 சதவீதமும், 2024இல் 12 சதவீதமும் குறையும் என எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுவதாகவும் அவ்வறிக்கை குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளது.

India’s per capita greenhouse gas emissions were at 2.4 tCO2e (tonne carbon dioxide equivalent), which is far below the world average of 6.3 tCO2e in 2020. The US contributed the highest emissions of 14 tCO2e, followed by 13 tCO2e in Russia and 9.7 tCO2e in China.

• Indian Air Force (IAF) and French Air and Space Force (FASF) are participating in a bilateral exercise, named ‘Garuda VIl’ at Air Force Station Jodhpur.
