1. தூய்மைக்கடல், பாதுகாப்பான கடல் இயக்கம். சென்னை மெரினா உட்பட 75 கடற்கரைகள் தூய்மைப்படுத்தப்பட உள்ளன

தூய்மைக்கடல், பாதுகாப்பான கடல் இயக்கம் என்பது கடற்கரைப் பகுதியை தூய்மையாக்கும் பணியில் குடிமக்கள் 75 நாட்கள் பங்கேற்கும் இயக்கமாகும். இந்த இயக்கம் கடந்த ஜூலை மாதம் 5ஆம் தேதி தொடங்கியது.

நாடு முழுவதும் 75 கடற்கரைகளில் ஒவ்வொரு கிலோமீட்டர் பகுதியிலும் 75 தன்னார்வலர்கள் இந்தத் தூய்மைப் பணிகளில் ஈடுபடுகின்றனர். இந்த இயக்கப்பணிகள் சர்வதேச கடலோரத் தூய்மை நாளான வரும் செப்.17ஆம் தேதி நிறைவடையும்.  அப்போது இந்தியாவிலேயே 75 கடற்கரையில் 7,500 கிமீட்டருக்கும் மேற்பட்ட கடற்கரை பகுதிகளை தூய்மைப்படுத்திய மிகப்பெரிய சாதனையாக இது அமையும். இதற்காக சுமார் `10 கோடி செலவாகும் எனக் கணக்கிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. 75 கடற்கரைகளில் தமிழ்நாட்டில் உள்ள 8 கடற்கரைகளும் இதில் அடங்கும். தமிழ்நாட்டில், சென்னையில் உள்ள மெரினா, பெசன்ட் நகர், திருவான்மியூர், இராமேஸ்வரம் அருகே மண்டபத்தில் ஆரியமான், பிறப்பன்வலசை, தூத்துக்குடியில் வஉசி, முத்துநகர், முல்லக்காடு, புதுச்சேரியில் காந்தி கடற்கரை ஆகிய கடற்கரைகள் தூய்மைப்படுத்தப்படுகின்றன.
