APSRTC at a glance
APSRTC is also called as Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation. It was framed in the year 1932. It was first established by NSR-RTD Nizam State Rail and Road Transport Department. It is a one of the wing of Nizam State Railway in Hyderabad. It has around 27 buses and 166 employees. As the days passes with rapid growth in the state even the transport system has grown from 27 buses to 17, 192 buses with 426 bus station, 126 Depots and 790 bus shelters. APSRTC under the present name came into existence on 11th January 1958 by the purchase of the Road Transport Corporation Act 1950. The corporation buses play an important role in connecting states such as Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Odisha etc.
