Eligibility Criteria: Candidates interested in applying for BECIL Manager Posts must meet the following eligibility criteria

Educational Qualification:

Manager – IP & Technology Transfer – B.Tech. or MSc. (Engineering or science or policy disciplines) . Additional qualifications like M.Tech, MBA or PhD
Experience: More than six years of relevant experience in program management, business development, innovation promotion, start-up support, incubation and pre-incubation, policy design and implementation, Technology management, IP Commercialisation in an R&D / Academic / Innovation set-up / Development sector/Industry etc.
– Work towards achieving the overall goal & targets of HUB as set by the Headquarters.
– Managing the team at Indovation Centre and oversee the operation of HUB and SPOKE setup.
– Operational roles like Technology transfer, project management, financial reporting, compliances, contracts, documentation, & administration at HUB level.
– On-board regional stakeholders and collaborate with industries, start-ups, Govt., knowledge agencies and associations at the zonal/state level.
– Design and organise conferences, and workshops on regular basis.
– Promote innovation and entrepreneurship activities in HEIs.
– Streamlining incubation and pre-incubation system in HEIs
– Relationship/stakeholders Management, publicity and communication
– Build and manage IP repository, technology compendium at the HUB level.
– Carry out market assessment of identified technologies, stakeholder mapping, and organise industry meets.
Dy. Manager – Innovation Development –  B.Tech. or MSc (Engineering or science disciplines)
Additional qualification in management or law or patent agentship.
Experience: More than three years’ experience in IP development & commercialisation, technology transfer, business development etc. in a research or academic environment or in a technology transfer / incubator office/research park etc.
– Provide opinion/advice on IPR matters to HEIs.
– Networking, stakeholder liaison, and HUB-SPOKE operation plan implementation.
– Carry out policy researches, analysis and documents/reports development.
– Communication material development for IP and Technology transfer related activities.
– Design and implement capacity building programs, trainings etc. on regular basis.
– Handhold institutional resources for managing IPRs & Technology Transfer assignments in SPOKE institutions.
-Support in market assessment of identified technologies, stakeholder mapping and coordination.
– Build and manage IP repository, technology compendium development at the HUB level.
– Innovation and entrepreneurship promotion and development in HEIs.
– Streamlining incubation and pre-incubation system in HEIs
– Assist the manager and handhold Innovation fellow and other team members at the centre
Innovation Fellow – A 4-year graduate degree in science / engineering or MSc or MBA.
Experience: Strong interest and some experience in IPR, Technology licensing, innovation programs, start-up promotion, and business development, industry interface etc.
– Perform techno-commercial feasibility studies of identified technologies.
– Manage various contracts/agreements.
– Guide innovators & scientists in matters related to IP and technology commercialization.
– Work collaboratively with regional stakeholders including start-ups, IP firms, incubators, industry and knowledge agencies.
– Organize and coordinate events, meets, mentor-clinics, investors round in the region.
– Contribute to development of promotional / presentation material for outreach
– Design and implement social media strategy.
– Promote IPR and incubation (ideation, innovation and startup activities) in the region.
– Support Manager and Dy. Manager in implementation of HUB-SPOKE operation plan and manage the program implementation team at the center

Salary Structure: The selected candidates for BECIL Manager Posts will be offered an attractive salary package as per the norms of the organization.

Manager – IP & Technology Transfer – Rs. 1,25,000/-
Dy. Manager – Innovation Development – Rs. 1,00,000/-
Innovation Fellow – Rs. 70,000/-
