BIS Recruitment 2023 14 Scientist-‘B’ Posts: Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) is a statutory body established under the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016. BIS has released a notification for the recruitment of 14 Scientist-‘B’ Posts. Eligibility Criteria: The eligibility criteria for the BIS Scientist-‘B’ recruitment 2023 are as follows:
Educational Qualification:
Bio-medical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Environment Engineering & Textile Engineering – Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology or equivalent with not less than sixty per cent marks in aggregate [fifty per cent for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes]. Having valid GATE* score of 2021/2022/2023. The GATE score must be valid as on 12.05.2023 (closing date of application).
Chemistry – Master’s Degree in Natural Sciences or equivalent [in Chemistry discipline only] with not less than sixty per cent marks in aggregate [fifty per cent for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes]. Having valid GATE* score of 2021/2022/2023. The GATE score must be valid as on 12.05.2023 (closing date of application).
Age Limit: The candidates must be between 21-30 years of age as on closing date of application i.e, as on 12.05.2023. The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Candidates Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per Govt. Rules.
Salary: The salary for the BIS Scientist-‘B’ post is Pay Level 10 (Rs. 56,100 – 1,77,500) as per the 7th CPC.
Selection Process: Short-listing based on GATE 2021, GATE 2022 or GATE 2023 Score: The shortlisting of candidates for Personal Interview will be based on the valid score of GATE 2021, GATE 2022 or GATE 2023, as may be applicable. Short-listing of candidates for Personal Interview will be done in order of merit of valid GATE Scores.
