Educational Qualification: Matriculation + NAC / NTC issued by NCTVT (now NCVT) in AOCP Trade.
Possessing Ordnance Factories training or experience in manufacturing and handling military explosives and ammunitions. Candidates possessing National Apprenticeship Certificate or National Trade Certificate issued by National Council for Training in Vocational Trades – NCTVT (now named as NCVT – National Council for Vocational Training) in the AOCP trade will only be accepted as the qualification.
Age Limit (As on 01.10.2023) : Between 18 and 35 years as on 01-10-2023 for General Candidates. Age relaxation, as admissible will be given to OBC-NCL, SC/ST & Ex-SM candidates. The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Candidates Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per Govt. Rules.
Nationality: Applicants should be Indian citizens or fulfill the specified criteria for other nationalities.
Salary: The selected candidates for the AOCP positions at Cordite Factory will be entitled to a competitive salary package of Rs. 19,900 + DA commensurate with the 7th Pay Commission guidelines. Additionally, they will receive other allowances and benefits as per the government rules in force.
Selection Process: Cordite Factory will conduct a selection process to choose the most suitable candidates for the AOCP roles. The selection process consists of the following stages:
Written Examination: Eligible candidates will be required to appear for a written examination that will assess their knowledge and skills in relevant subjects and general aptitude.
Skill Test/Trade Test: Subsequently, those who clear the written examination may be called for a skill test or trade test to evaluate their practical skills in chemical plant operations.
Document Verification: Candidates who successfully clear the previous stages will undergo a document verification process to confirm their eligibility and authenticity of documents.
Selection of the candidates shall be done based on the Marks scored in the NCTVT and Trade Test/ Practical test only, in the order of Merit. Cut off percentage for calling candidates for Trade test will be decided by the factory based on the total Marks secured in NCTVT. Merit list will be prepared based on combined marks secured in NCTVT Exam and Trade test/Practical Test. Weightage of Marks in NCTVT Exam and Trade test/Practical test will be 80% and 20% respectively. Candidates qualifying in the NCTVT and Trade Test/ Practical test will be called for Document Verification in the order of Merit. The number of candidates called for Document Verification will be limited to the number of posts notified (Discipline / Category wise). In case of rejection of candidates during the Document Verification process on account of nonavailability of requisite documents / testimonials, not meeting the advertised criteria with respect to Age, Qualification, Experience, etc., additional candidates will be called for Document Verification in the order of Merit (Discipline / Category wise). The number of additional candidates called for Document Verification will be limited to the number of candidates rejected.
