How much salary will I get if I only clear group 4?

First of all, getting into government services itself is a great deal. Group 4 though lower cadre , its salary is good and you will receive good amount in the future years.

Group 4 post comes in the column Grade Pay of Rs. 2400/-.As you can see you will start with a basic pay of Rs.19,500 /- and then in next year you will get Rs.20,100 /-and so on. You can reach upto Rs.65,000/- per month.

Additionally you will get the below allowances,

1.Dearness Allowance – 5% of Basic pay (Revised every 6 months)

2.HRA – Depends on the city you work ( Eg: For Chennai it is Rs.1800)

3.City Allowance – Depends on city you work ( Eg: For Chennai it is Rs.360)
