About HPPSC
The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission was formed on 8th April 1971 under the Act of 315. The commission every year organizes various examinations to appoint employees for various posts in the organization. The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission conducts the Himachal Pradesh Administrative Services Examination (HPAS). The Chairman of the service Commission KS Tomar told in the meeting that “’The draft of micro-level syllabus for the HAS examinations on the IAS pattern, which was approved by the state Cabinet last week, would come into force from January 2017”.
Vacancies
The vacancies is based on subject wise as follows as, English – 47, Hindi – 40 Posts, History – 40 Posts, Political Science -31 Posts, Economics – 31 Posts, Maths -31 Posts, Physics – 31 Posts, Chemistry – 31 Posts, Biology – 16 Posts, Commerce – 64 Posts, Sanskrit – 8 Posts, Geography – 8 Posts, Music – 8 Posts and Music( V) – 8 Posts.
Qualification

The qualification for PSC teaching also need B.ed is added advantage with 50% of aggregate or 2 yrs M.Sc Ed integrated courses from reputed and authorized board. The candidates must not be more than 45 yrs and less than 18 yrs as age limits.
Payment
The candidates will be recruited based on selection process only. It is purely based on cut off marks and merit list depends on the decision of the recruitment board. The Selected candidates will be paid with Rs. 10,300 to Rs.34,800 plus Grade pay of Rs.4,200.

Fee Structure
The board runs on candidate’s application fee as partial income. The application fee is mandatory for recruitment charges. Therefore, the application fees are structured in category wise. The General candidates must pay the sum of Rs. 400 , General BPL – Rs. 100, Sc or ST or OBC of HP – Rs.100 and Ex.service men of HP – Rs.100. These payment will be accepted either online banking process or e- challan deposit only at any branch of Punjab National Bank.
