IBPS Criteria to Apply

Banks With IBPS
There are 22 banks are registered with the IBPS including Allahabad Bank, Andhra Bank, Bank of Baroda, Bank of Maharashtra, Canara Bank, Dena Bank, IDBI Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Syndicate Bank Etc. which allows the IBPS qualified scores to get the job in such banks.
Educational Qualification
Any graduate (Degree) in any discipline from any recognized college or university with a valid mark sheet of the particular course. Those who are in the Final year/Semester of their Graduation may also appear the exam by applying online. But when comes to the final stage of interview, they should produce the original passing marks sheet provided by the concern university/ college.
Age limit
General category candidates (who are not having reservations) must have at least 20 years of age to apply for the IBPS PO exam. The maximum age limit for them is 30 years as on 01.07.2016. Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable as per reservation norms.
Application Fee
Eligible and interested Candidates should pay Rs. 100/- for SC/ ST/ PWD Category and Rs. 600/- for all other category.
Bank transaction charges will be extra and depends on the type of transaction you are doing to pay the fee.
All the candidates should pay the application fee via online payment gateways – Internet Banking / Debit Card / Credit Card /Wallet etc.
Salary
Emoluments of Probationary Officer in IBPS banks is presently in the scale of Rs. 25700/- They will also be eligible for DA, HRA & CCA, as per rules in force from time to time.
IBPS PO Recruitment Process
IBPS conducts Three phases of selection. Candidates who clear all the three phases will only selected based on the merit list basis. Candidates who get selected in the prelims only get a call letter for the Main examination. Phase I- Online Preliminary Examination (Objective type), Phase II- Online Main examination (Objective, Descriptive),Phase III-Group discussion and Interview(Verbal) are the selection procedure of the recruitment. In the Prelims and Main examination 1/4th of the negative marks will assign for every wrong answers.
Phase I:Prelimnary Examination : Phase I Prelim exam is the basic qualifying examination which makes the candidate eligible for the next step of process. Through this exam aspirants are qualified for the phase II Main exam. Mark secured in the Phase 1 exam will not be counted for the purpose of final selection. Prelim exam will conduct in Online as Objective test for 100 marks for duration of an hour. It consist of three sections as English Language(30 Marks),Quantitative Aptitude (35 Marks),Reasoning Ability(35 Marks).
Phase II: Main Examination: Phase II Main examination will be held to those candidates who got selected in the prelims exam. Main exam consist of two parts i.e. Objective(200 Marks) and Descriptive test (25Marks).For the first time ,separate timings have been introduced for every section .So there will be time limit for each section. Objective section for 200 marks consist of four sections as English Language(30 questions,40 Marks,40 Minutes),General awareness about economy and banking (35 questions,60 Marks,35 minutes),Reasoning and Computer Aptitude(40 questions,60 Marks,60 minutes), Data Analysis and Interpretation (35questions, 40 marks, 45 minutes). Descriptive Test will also be conducted online with 30 minutes duration with 50 marks will be a test of English Language (Letter Writing, essay ).
Phase III: Group discussion and Interview: The aggregated marks of candidate who have qualified both in Objective and descriptive test will be arranged in descending order in each category. Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided based on cut off will be called for Group discussion(20 Marks) and Interview(30 Marks).
Merit List: The mark obtained in Phase II and Phase III will be consider for the merit list. Marks secured by the candidates in the written test (out of 225 marks)are converted to out of 75 marks and mark secured in Phase III (out of 50 marks) converted to out of 25 Marks. This 100 Marks decides the merit list for the final selected candidates.
