IIAP Kodaikanal Recruitment 2023 04 UDC Posts: The Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIAP) has recently released a notification, No. IIAP/32/2022 dated 30.12.2012, for the recruitment of 04 Upper Division Clerk (UDC) and Administrative Assistant Posts. This recruitment drive is being conducted for the Central Government Jobs on a regular basis. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the posts through online mode on the official website of IIAP www.iiap.res.in from 25th February 2023 to 28th March 2023.

Vacancy Details : The total number of vacancies available for this recruitment is 04, out of which 03 are for Upper Division Clerk (UDC) and 01 is for Administrative Assistant. The place of posting for the selected candidates will be in any of the following locations – Bengaluru, Hosakote, Kodaikanal, Kavalur, and Gauribidanur.
Salary Details:
- Upper Division Clerk – VII CPC Pay Matrix Level-4 Pay Range Rs.25500-81100
- Administrative Assistant – VII CPC Pay Matrix Level-5 (Pay Range Rs.29200-92300)
Eligiblity Criteria : The eligibility criteria for the recruitment of Upper Division Clerk (UDC) are that the candidate should have completed a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute with a minimum of 50% marks. The age limit for the UDC post is between 18 and 27 years. For the Administrative Assistant post, the candidate should have completed a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute with a minimum of 50% marks and should have knowledge of computer applications.
Age Limit (As on 28.03.2023)
- Upper Division Clerk – 30 years
- Administrative Assistant – 32 years
The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Candidates Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per Govt. Rules.
Selection Process : IIAP may follow the following process to select the candidates.
Written test &/or Skill test
Interview
The recruitment process for the UDC position involves a written test, followed by a skill test. The written test will assess the candidate’s knowledge of general English, general knowledge, and quantitative aptitude. Candidates who qualify in the written test will be called for a skill test, which will test the skills required for the post.
