IIGM Recruitment 2023 25 JRF Posts: The Indian Institute of Geomagnetism (IIGM) has released an official notification for the recruitment of Junior Research Fellows (JRFs) for the year 2023. Place of Posting: The selected candidate will carry out his/her research work either at IIG Headquarters in Navi Mumbai or any one of the regional centers (EGRL Tirunelveli/ KSKGRL -Prayagraj/NEGRL – Shillong) of IIG

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates who wish to apply for the Junior Research Fellow position at IIGM must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria laid down by the institute. The eligibility criteria are as follows:

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have an M.Sc. or M.Tech degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Geophysics, Space Physics, Applied Geology, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or any other allied discipline. M.Sc./M.Sc. (Tech.) in the disciplines of Physics/Geophysics/Space Physics/Applied Geology & Applied Mathematics with a minimum of 60% marks throughout or equivalent CGPA grade and Physics or Mathematics as a subject in B.Sc./graduation level. Those appearing for Master’s degree final year examination during the year 2023 in the above subjects may also apply. However, if selected, they should be able to produce the mandatory documents after fulfilling the eligibility criteria at the time of joining the Institute

Age Limit: The upper age limit for the JRF position is 25 years as of 01.07.2023. Age relaxation of 3 years is applicable for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens.

Salary and Benefits: Selected candidates for the JRF position at IIGM will be eligible for a monthly stipend of Rs. 31,000/- along with other benefits as per the institute’s rules. Tenure and fellowship/stipend to the JRF/SRF are as per prevailing CSIR/UGC guidelines.

Selection Process : Candidates who are in possession of the GATE/ NET/ INSPIRE-JRF certificate(s) valid up to January 2025 or later, in the above mentioned subjects, may be called for the interview directly.
